Delhi Dehradun corridor will shorten distance from 5.5 hours to mere 2.5 hours . Will this help BJP in the upcoming state elections?

Today prime minister Narendra Modi is in Uttarakhand. There was a very big impressive event in Dehradun to felicitate the prime minister Narendra Modi for the successful completion of the Delhi Dehradun economic corridor constructed at the whopping cost of 12 to 14 thousand crores of rupees which will shorten the distance between Delhi and Dehradun to merely 2.5 hours instead of six hours. The prime minister raised his head out of the window pane to wave his hands at the cheering crowds and there are reports that lot of money has been spent on this vulgar ostentation to seek publicity and popularity especially in view of the 2027 assembly elections of Uttarakhand. There were thousands of people to greet the PM. Political analysts ask : Will this achievement help the saffron party win the 2027 state assembly elections ?

All the members of parliament of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha from Uttarakhand, the chief minister and the entire cabinet including party heads received the jubilant PM and tried to show their face to earn recognitions though in parliament you won’t hear them on important and sensitive issues of Ankita Bhandari diabolical murder , cases of women being allegedly kidnapped in Uttarakhand, the unaccounted number of fatal accidents taking place in Uttarakhand and people becoming the easy prey of maneater leopards, tigers and wild beasts compounded with hundreds of disaster victims during monsoon season of the past with no economic relief. In the context of the deteriorating law and order situation of Uttarakhand and nearly nine murders taking place during the last few months in Dehradun and Rishikesh including the death of a PRD Jawan in police custody , no questions were raised to set right the situation. The union minister of Transport and Highways who was the main brain and executing authority Nitin Jairam Gadkari behind this corridor that will ensure the distance between Delhi and Dehradun to be covered within just three hours was not mentioned to be lauded. Kudos to him. He was also the star attraction of the event with all the MPs also congrstulatingvhim innthe dias.

Meanwhile a senior journalist and former president of Press Club of India Umakant Lakhera wasn’t impressed by the Road Show and inauguration event of the Delhi Dehradun corridor by the prime minister as according to him Prime Minister Modi’s roadshow in Dehradun is the most blatant display of public tax wastage yet! Crores of rupees from this impoverished state, neck-deep in debt, were wasted for the sake of Modi’s arrival for just a few hours! The senior journalist added that
the state’s ” so called powerful” government is distributing salaries by taking loans from banks every month. I’m told that the profits of Gujarati contractors in the state have increased manifold! Elections are near, so all this ostentatious activity is being done to show that Modi is great! For three years, this state has been demanding justice for Ankita Bhandari! While expressing his concern over massive unemployment and inflation Lakhera said that the entire state is grappling with massive unemployment, rampant migration, a lack of basic healthcare, and rampant corruption and commission-paying in government contracts! The Himalayan state has already recorded the highest number of crimes against girls and women. What concrete action has the double engine company taken on the ground for that state? What has it done so far? Has it even said a single word? Will the sold-out media ever ask questions, write Lakhera in his FB post. Responding to the senior journalists writeup the Uttarakhand ‘s theatre actor and artist said : The Indian Loot Party is leaving no stone unturned in looting Uttarakhand. Their hungry eyes are plotting to turn this state into a pleasure resort. The government here, with the support of the central government, is inviting capitalists and businessmen to open hotels and resorts here to expand their business. Not even a single penny is being spent on the basic amenities of the common people. Many roads have been under construction for the last 23 years. No hospitals have been built for the public, primary schools have been closed? The drinking water problem in villages remains the same, any government work is approved only after a 40% bribe has been taken? Even the grants given for temples are given after a 40% bribe? If you ask to complain to the MLA, you get the answer that the MLA also has a share in it??? This is the condition of every grant amount??? The villagers are told to cultivate their fields??? How is farming possible without irrigation water??? Who will provide this facility??? They are being given an allowance of 90 thousand rupees every month for petrol, whereas these gentlemen never go to their assembly constituency??? In this situation, if this poor state does not have debt, what will happen???
My great India wrote Rawat resounding to Umakant Lakhera’s hard hitting post.
