Anna Hazare writes a two page letter to Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival castigating him on a new liquor excise policy !

The leader of India Against Corruption Anna, Hazare today wrote a two page hard hitting letter to the national convenor of AAP and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal castigating him for imposing a new liquor policy in Delhi resulting in spoiling the lives of the people and forgetting his long speeches made from the Ram Lila grounds during the nation wide movement a decade ago launched by India Against Corruption led by him.

Extremely annoyed with the AAM ADMI PARTY chief Arvind Kejriwal, Anna Hazare reminded the latter of his book SWARAJ in which the AAP leader has catagorically written against the prevalence of liquor saying that unless 90% of the women of the area do not give their written consent the liquor shops should not be opened but unfortunately under his rule in the national capital not only is the new liquor policy implemented by him and deputy CM Manish Sisodia are against the interest of the common masses spoiling the families but opening of liquor shops in large numbers in every nook and corner of the capital has unambiguously given an impression that the way Liquor is intoxicated, you have also been intoxicated by power.

He catagorically said that whatever idealistic writing you ( Kejrival) have done in your book Swaraj it seems that you have forgotten everything giving an impression that as liquor is intoxicated, you are also intoxicated by the addiction of power.

Coming down heavily on Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival and deputy CM Manish Sisodia, India against Corruption leader Anna Hazare in his two page letter said that I am writing to you for the very first time as I am badly anguished over the news of new liquor excise policy appearing in papers for some days.

After being inspired by the slogan of Gandhiji ” Gaon kisi oar chalo”, turn towards villages, I have been struggling hard for the last 47 years via various movements for the development of the nation and against corruption.

Reminding Kejrival of a joint meeting of Team Anna held on 18 September, 2012, a decade ago, Anna Hazare said that you had given a suggestion to form a political party. I opposed your proposal as the countrymen wanted us to mobilise people against corruption at the pan India level. I was then of the opinion to mobilise people nationally. I am now of the opinion that if this mobilisation programme would have continued, the liquor policy as made in Delhi would not have come into existence at all. There would have been a strong pressure group in the country by us to enable governments make good people friendly and pro people policies for the beneficence of the poor. But it could not happen as you and Manish Sisodia stepped into active politics. He further wrote : After the implementation of the new liquor policy in Delhi I have come to the conclusion that you have also imitated the other political parties thus harming our historical movement.

I am deeply pained by this action of yours. Our movement was to weed out corruption and form Lokpal and Lokayukt in the country but you and your government has completely deviated from this goal, not even doing this needful in the national capital. Highly disenchanted with Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival Anna, Hazare said – I have finally arrived at a conclusion that you have also involved yourself in vested business like other parties – for money from power and power from money. The pioneer of crusader against corruption Anna Hazare who compelled Maharashtra government to terminate its ministers involved in corruption charges and frame several laws for people’s good in the past concluded the letter saying : It doesn’t look good for the party emanating from a movement against corruption while expressing his deep annoyance towards Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival, his political party and the new liquor excise policy.
