After two days of heated outbursts and unnecessary controversy the Delhi PWD department allots bungalow to Atishi Marlena Singh earlier occupied by the previous CM Kejrival
It seems that there is no credibility of political dignitaries in the eyes of the officers working under them and every bureaucrat in high position wants to safeguard his position and job as they have no faith on chief ministers and ministers especially when the chief ministers and ministers are being sent to jails very often on charges that are not credible especially when the state governments are at loggerhead with the central government led by ideologically a different party or parties.
Now take the case of Delhi government governed by the Aam Admi Party . They have been ruling since 2013 in Delhi but its chief minister , ministers and MLAs are continuously at loggerhead with the centre and not a day is passed when there is not a single news about the verbal fisticuffs between AAP and the BJP on one issue or the other, accusing each other of various charges.
The ideological war of words between the leaders at the centre, state saffron party leaders and the AAP leaders n government in Delhi regularly make one or two leading news and the Delhites have no choice but to enjoy the confrontation continuously since the last ten years.
Several Delhi government ministers were behind bars for several months including the Delhi CM and the Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh including several MLAs but majority of them have been released on bail by Supreme Court and lower courts but the former health minister Satyendra Jain is behind bars for more than two years under PMLA charges of stringent nature for money laundering etc.
The Delhi government’s new liquor policy ( now scrapped) related scam had put the then Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival ,former deputy CM Manish Sisodia , Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, Kavitha MLC and others in jail who have now been released after several months of incarceration with the case already going on and ED, CBI etc still behind them.
The recent tussle between the Delhi BJP leaders and Delhi CM resulted in Atishi not getting the new accomodation of CM Delhi vacated by Arvind Kejrival as PWD department working under the Delhi government had locked the CM house and thrown the present CM Atishi’s luggage out with media highlighting this issue to the core accusing the centre and the LG for doing injustice with the Delhi CM who had accused BJP and its leaders of forcibly capturing the Delhi CM bungalow as they could not establish their government in Delhi since the last 27 years.
However, after two days of controversy with CM working with packed luggage , she was finally allotted the CM’s bungalow earlier used by the then CM Arvind Kejriwal and his family.
There were charges and counter charges by the AAP and BJP leaders on each other accusing on political lines with Delhi CM Atishi Marlena Singh in a mess addressing press conference with packed luggage that was allegedly forcibly thrown out of the CM’s bungalow.
The PWD department’s senior officers now say that they were compelled to seal the CM bungalow because they were not given the full report about the inventories of the Bungalow. It was only after the entire furniture, accessories and electronics gadgets etc were thoroughly checked and found in order , the PWD department allotted the Bungalow to the present CM who has now shifted there.
The point is what was the need for so much of the fuss ? Was the outgoing or current CM running away , that the PWD department has to seal the CM’s bungalow in a huff and forcibly throw the luggage out of the house inviting objectionable public comments making news and creating sort of anarchist situation in the national capital with BJP Delhi president and other leaders shouting loudly in media levelling serious charges on the outgoing and the present CM whereas the fact remains that the new chief minister has the full right to have a CM bungalow accomodation.
Moreover, after resigning from his post the outgoing chief minister Arvind Kejrival, his old aged parents and wife Sunita Kejrival etc have peacefully and honourably vacated the Bungalow exhibiting decency and political ethics.
Shame on our politicians for creating unnecessary controversies out of no issue wasting the precious time of the executive , departmental officers and employees just to politicise it and seek unnecessary political advantage.
Meanwhile the spokeswomen of AAP P. Kakkar while addressing the media said that maintaining law and order in Delhi, police recruitment and deployment of adequate PCR vans is the responsibility of the LG, but he has failed miserably in this.
The crime rate has increased rapidly in the last two years, and now Delhi can be called the ‘Crime Capital’. Even drug consignments are being seized. But LG’s entire focus is on how to defame the Delhi government and create obstacles in its work – wrote AAP on X also posting the video of Ms Kakkar, leader and spokesperson of AAP.
