Vrindavan, Mathura, 24 September 2026 – In an extremely tragic and heart-wrenching incident, a twenty-year-old Agniveer braveheart laid down his precious life during a visit to Brij, Vrindavan, Mathura where he had come with his two sisters to pay obeisance to Lord Krishna.
According to information, Harsh Bisht, the brother of two sisters, was drowned while taking a bath at Jugal Ghat in Yamuna. His body was found after two days after an intensive search operation was launched by SDRF.
Harsh Bisht, a resident of Almora, Uttarakhand, had joined Agniveer just a year ago and was posted at Jaipur. His parents had already left for their eternal journey and he was living with his two sisters, being the only brother and the sole support of the family.
Agniveer Harsh Bisht had come to Vrindavan for Braj darshan along with his two sisters. While bathing at Jugal Ghat of Yamuna, he went into deep water and drowned. The next day, his mortal remains were recovered during SDRF’s search operation.
The news of the young soldier’s death has left everyone shocked and grief-stricken. He was just twenty years old, barely a year into service, with dreams of serving the nation.
