Bike Plunges into Deep Gorge on Guptkashi Motor Road, Rescue Teams Rushed to Spot

A bike skidded off the Guptkashi motor road and fell into a deep gorge near Bhainsari on Tuesday evening, triggering a large-scale rescue operation in Rudraprayag district.
According to information received at 6:35 PM, the District Emergency Operation Centre, Rudraprayag was informed about the accident.
Multi-Agency Rescue Launched
On the instructions of the District Disaster Management Officer, the Emergency Operation Centre immediately dispatched teams to the spot.
DDRF team, Tehsil Ukhimath administration, SDRF, police force and a 108 ambulance were sent to the accident site for rescue and relief operations.
Condition of Rider Not Yet Known
As of now, there is no official information about the condition of the bike rider or whether there were any casualties in the accident.
Officials said the exact situation will be clear only after the rescue teams reach the spot and carry out the operation in the deep gorge.
Rescue work is underway. Further details are awaited.
