A young girl trekker missing since 29 th May from Dayara Bugyal tent colony midnight
Police, SDRF searching her since the last three days with no success

A young girl trekker , quite independent has been on trekking at Dayara Trek with her two friends who had put tents at Dayara Bugyal but mysteriously going missing since 29 th May, 2026 midnight when according to sources she came out of her tent and went inside other asking for a cigarette. She is believed to be in but inebriated conditiin according to the former Pradhan Mr. Pokhariyal who had been with the search team for the last three days. The mysterious s sappesrencevif this young lady trekker since the midnight of 29 th May and her no clue despite the SDRF, Chamoli police etc searching her intensively including with the help if camera drones makes things more complicated and anxious.

According to the sources the girl trekker had stayed in a hotel at Raithal before arriving at Dayara Bugyal trek meadows and living in separate two tents one occupied by her two male companions and another by her individually.
According to her friend since she was hearing the music in loud tine they said they are sleeping and asked her too to lower the volume and gk for sleep but the girl who was in an inebriated condition came out of the tent to enjoy music at night hours, peeping in another tent asking for a cigarette.
Since then she is missing said the ex pradhan of thisatea. Dayara Bugyal trek is a biginner friendly Himalayan Meadow trek in Uttarakhand ‘s Uttarkashi district at an altitude of 12000 feet above sea level, approximately. According to the Chamoli Uttarakhand police ater receiving information about the disappearance of a female trekker from the Dayara Bugyal trek area on the night of 29 May 2026, a massive search and combing operation is being conducted continuously.
The help of drones and dog squads is also being taken in the operation.
After the search on last Sunday and Monday, today on 2 June 2026 morning, the police, SDRF, NDRF, Forest Department, Disaster Management QRT, ITBP, Army, taking along local people and porters, formed various teams and started an intensive search operation again in different directions of the Dayara trek area.
Every effort is being made to locate the missing trekker, utilizing all available resources.
Since receiving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police, Uttarkashi, Mrs. Kamlesh Upadhyaya has been continuously reviewing and monitoring the search operation.
Following his instructions, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Uttarkashi, Mr. Janak Singh Panwar, has been camping in the Dayara trek area for the past two to three days, personally leading the search. The police administration and all relevant agencies are continuously working to safely locate the missing trekker.
