The shooting and muhurat shot of the much awaited Garhwali movie KANDALI whose poster and initial teaser was released in Constitution club of Delhi in the month of April in the pivotal presence of the prominent director Sh. Narayan Singh Rawat and Producers VSM , Vice Marshal Retired Rajesh Bhandari and Virendra Patwal has commenced on Saturday, 2 nd May , 2026 in the serene and magnificent location of Pauri Garhwal.
The grand ceremony was held at the residence of Shri Harish Chandra Gairola in Pauri, which is also the film’s location in the fascinating Sirola village . The event was attended by numerous dignitaries and celebrities.
Kandali primarily is a women centric movie with a girl named Kandali rising from a village life to an IPS woman officer dealing with several law breakers and reforms them with ecology and environment preservation being its main subject, fighting with the tree cutters and glorifying the Uttarakhand police for its pro people centric and empowerment of women oriented actions and attitude.
The first song of the new Garhwali movie titled KANDALI whose script has been written and directed by eminent film maker Shiv Narayan Singh Rawat and produced jointly by retired Air Vice Marshal, VSM Rajesh Bhandari and Virendra Patwal was recorded at NISHAD STUDIO, DEHRADUN.
THE mesmerising song has been melodiously sung by a singer Neelu.
On this ocassion the producer of the movie VSM Rajesh Bhandari , director and script writer Shiv Narayan Singh Rawat, the heroine of the movie beautiful Ambika Rawat, the music composer , Director Nishad Chandra, child artist Jeewa Rawat etc were present.
After the recording and subsequent release of the part of the first song the entire crew members had also met the former chief secretary of Uttarakhand , IAS Radha Raturi and her husband , a distinguished police chief, DGP Uttarakhand, IPS Anil Raturi and released the poster of the Garhwali movie likely to be released in the near future with the shooting going on unabatedly in various serene, attractive and magnificent client locations of Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
The movie wil be ready for screening in the Uttarakhand and Delhi NCR theatres within the next six months, entertaining the wide spectrum of Uttarakhandi audience in Garhwal, Delhi, Punjab, Mumbai and NCR to the hilt. Kudos
