Three women ranging from 24 to 36 years of age, drowned in Ganges at Raiwala Kutir Ghat, rescue operation in full swing

There is a shocking news about three women from Haryan who’d come to Kutirghat, Raiwala, Dehradun for obeisance to pious Ganges and take bath have been drowned with government agencies like water police and national disaster response force team and trained swimmers on the job to locate them.

According to the latest news three women taking bath at Geeta Kutir Ghat in Ganges Raiwala were drowned with rescue operation in full swing in the hope to find them alive but till now there are no reports of their being rescued and found alive.

It so happened that these three women from Haryana while taking bath at Geeta Kutir Ghat in Hari Raiwala Dehradun when drowned early this morning , after hearing cries, people tried their best to save them but could not succeed as the flow of the Ganges water was tremendous.

Finding the situation going out of control the desperate and highly panicked people informed the police who in turn called the water police and the NDRF team who immediately started the rescue operation.

There was panic all around.

According to news floating in three women coming from Haryana with their relatives for Uttarakhand darshan were staying in an Ashram.

When at 5.00 AM early morning they reached the Kutir Ghat at Hari Raiwalwa to take the bath in Ganges, the fast flow of the river water took them along with the people nearby not able to rescue them despite their best efforts, finally calling the police who in turn called the NDRF team.

The victims are daughter of Satbir Singh, 24 year old Neha, wife of Rajesh, Kusum, aged 36 years and Seema wife of Narendra, aged 34 years from Sonepat Haryana.

Such news of tragic incidents are usually heard in Ganges, though the Haridwar management has made sufficient arrangements, installing chains and stainless steel boundary on the sides of the flowing Ganges for the safety of the pilgrims taking bath here, but negligence of the pilgrims while taking bath going deep inside despite risks lead to such tragedies.
