The Bihar chief minister for over more than two decades holding the post for ten terms earlier in alliance with the RJD and thereafter till date with the saffron party Nitish Kumar has surprised and shocked everyone by filing the nomination papers for Rajya Sabha giving a clear cut indication that from April onwards he will serve Bihar as a parliamentarian giving the saddle of power of the state either to his JDU senior or the BJP , the party which was since long trying hard to bag this important post searching for an important opportunity like this.
There are reports that JD ( U) national chief and current CM Nitish Kumar has taken this decision in view of his deteriorating health. He has put a condition forth to make his son the deputy CM of Bihar though he is a political novice having no contribution in state or national politics. The BJP has agreed on this reveal sources playing a “Turup the Patta” to snatch the CM chair from the JD(U).
This development took place in Patna today where the CHANAKYA OF BJP, the union Home minister Amit Shah was present including at the nomination filing ocassion for the Rajya Sabha with Nitish Kumar.
The Rajya Sabha seat’s term of his predecessor for which Nitish had filed the nomination ends in April and his new term as a parliamentarian will start from April.
If the BJP nominee replaces Nitish Kumar of which there is much possibility this will be the debut of the saffron party’s candidate as the Bihar CM.
In a long message in Hindi after this important development the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar tweeted : For more than two decades, you have consistently placed your trust and support in me, and it is on the strength of that trust that we have served Bihar and all of you with complete dedication.
It was the power of your trust and support that has enabled Bihar today to present a new dimension of development and dignity. For this, I have expressed my gratitude to you many times in the past as well.
From the very beginning of my
parliamentary journey, there has been a
desire in my heart to become a member of
both Houses of the Bihar Legislature as well
as both Houses of Parliament.
In keeping with this aspiration, I seek to become a member of the Rajya Sabha in the elections being held this time.
I want to assure you with complete honesty that my relationship with you will continue in the future as well, and my resolve to work together with you to build a developed Bihar will remain steadfast.
The new government that will be formed will have my full Cooperation and guidance said Nitish through his post on X.
Nitish Kumar priced to be an invincible chief minister of Bihar for more than two decades having managed to carve out a cohesive base from larger Mandal Commission recommendation during the tenure of the then PM late V.P.Singh , some sections of the Pasmanda and the Exyremeky backward classes , Mahadalits and womenvoters who he later on obliged with his action plans. His reinterpretation of social justice politics and the capturing of regional sub-nationalism of Bihari pride, of a renewal of the State after the jungle raj of the RJD years made him and invaluable to the saffron party as well, which was considered a party of largely upper caste Hindu communities. In a social media post in Hindi he wrote : For the past two decades, your commitment and dedicated leadership to the welfare of the people of Bihar has freed the state from jungle raj and led it towards development and good governance. Your extensive experience in public service and deep understanding of policy-making will make the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha even more effective. Your dignified presence will further strengthen the NDA’s resolve of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.”
