For the Delhi government, the value of deceased Kamal Dhyani who died in a deep pit of Delhi Jal Board is Rs. Ten lakhs only

Sounds shocking that a young boy of merely 25 years of age who died after falling in a seven metres deep pit of Delhi Jal Board in Janakpuri, namely Kamal Dhyani working in HDFC Bank as a tele caller at Rohini has been compensated with merely 10 lakh rupees by the Delhi government as financial compensation which they paid to the bereaved family.

During the previous government ruled by AAP in Delhi, the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival had paid the monetary compensation of Rs. One crore each to the widows of those dying during the Covid including the policemen on duty.

The chief minister used to personally visit the bereaved families of the deceased and deliver the cheque by hand. It used to be a unique gesture towards the traumatised families.

But the present regime under whose rule a young Uttarakhand boy dies due to the brazen negligence and fault of the Delhi Jal Board with no fault of his has been compensated with merely Rs ten lakh and that too after there was tremendous media pressure and the pictures and videos of the deceased Kamal Dhyani going viral in social media.

The Delhi government led by the BJP and the Delhi Jal Board owes to the bereaved family whoy one person should be given a government job and a monetary compensation of Rs. One crore with immediate effect.

How can a brazen negligence of a government department and contractors, engineers go scot free after such a tragic heart wrenching death of a young boy who has not seen the world and left for his eternal journey at such a young age leaving the entire family in trauma.

It may be recalled that Kamal Dhyani was a dedicated young boy working in HDFC Bank as a tele caller and was returning home during the night hours on his bike. Before reaching home he informed his brother that he will reach home within twenty minutes.

When he couldn’t reach within the prescribed time the brothers started calling him, but there wasn’t any response from his mobile compelling them to lodge a complaint against the police station.

After the intensive search he was found lying dead in a seven metres deep pit of Delhi Jal Board with his motorbike lying by the side. He was in helmet, gloves and jacket. After receiving the tragic news the family was traumatised losing a son at the prime if his life. My deepest condolences.

It may be recalled that Kamal Dhyani originally belongs to Pauri Garhwal district.

In Delhi one may see several such pits dug in various locations of Delhi by Delhi Jal Board for several months with traffic jams a common phenomena and commuters on the roads sufferring immensely. Not only this but after clearing the sewage of the drains tonnes of rubbish/ silt lies on the side of the drains causing tremendous inconvenience and bottlenecks for the commuters. The rubbish after rains re enters the severs and they get clogged again. Then again lots of budget is used tore clear the overfilled sewers and pits also not having any signboard, indications and the flash boards resulting in such tragedies as the one happened at Janakpuri.
