The second question put by Rahul Gandhi was regarding giving the details of the applications received in this regard and the internships offered and number of internships accepted in both the rounds one and two and what is the number of the students availing this opportunity and doing the internship.
The leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi was extremely surprised and annoyed to learn that according to the ministry of Corporate affairs and ministry of road transport and highways, the total applications received were 10.77 but the total offers made was by 1.55 lakhs candidates and those who actually availed or interns who joined finally at the pan India level were merely 9.453 interns.
This is shockingly a few negligible numbers to which leader of the Opposition and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said : Even after eleven years of his rule Modiji is repeating the same old rhetorics. Last year he assured of offering the internship of one lakh crores to one crore students and this year too there is a scheme of one lakh crore employment.
However, the truth is that on my question in the parliament the government has admitted that less that ten thousand interns have availed the opportunity. The stipend was do low that the applicants were compelled to refuse the offer.
