Six culprits arrested in Betalghat firing case in which a boy was hurt with bullet at the jila panchayat election

After tremendous pressure of social media and state news channels including Print media and Harish Rawat, the former chief minister of Uttarakhand condemning it in strongest possible terms posting his video on social media and a petition filed in Uttarakhand court against alleged kidnapping of the Panchayat members and firing in broad daylight injuring a boy , the Uttarakhand police has finally arrested six persons and registered FIR against them on stringent charges of Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita.
The bullet firing incident injuring a boy on his leg happened yesterday at Betalghat with situation becoming extremely tense.
When one of the BJP local member spoke to the President and MP Rajya Sabha Bhartiya Jamata Party Mahendra Bhatt, over mobile phone , first he was unaware of the the development but when the caller said that during BJP rule people are being hit by bullets in broad day light – he humorously said CHUNAV MEIN TO GOLIYAN CHALTEE HE REHTEE HAIN, the video of which had gone viral in social media. The six accused arrested by the Betalghat, Nainital, Uttarakhand Police are : 1. Deepak Singh Rawat alias Latwal son of Surendra Singh (28 years) – resident of Chitrakoot, Kotdwar Road (Chorpani), Ramnagar
2. Yash Bhatnagar alias Yash (19 years) son of Rajiv Bhatnagar resident of Shivlalpur Roniya, Ramnagar
3. Virendra Arya alias Vicky (39 years) son of Mohan Ram resident of Lakhanpur, Ramnagar
4. Ravindra Kumar alias Ravi (28 years) son of Chandan Prakash, resident of Dhela Patrani, Ramnagar
5. Prakash Bhatt (28 years) son of Gopal Dutt, resident of Khuriyakhatta No. 08, Bindukhatta
6. Pankaj Papola (29 years) son of Nar Singh, resident of Khuriyakhatta No. 09, Bindukhatta. It may be recalled that in one of the pictures posted by the Uttarakhand police in FB a person is openly caught on camera with his face clearly recognisable holding a,pistol and pointing towards the victim.
