A dreaded hungry leopard has attacked a house in village of Maniyarsiun Patti in Pauri Garhwal and brutally killed fourteen goats. Such invasion of carnivores in Uttarakhand hills in human habitats are very common and several of them have become man-eaters. There have been several deadly incidents of man-eater attacks on women working in fields, women cutting grass and shrubs of domestic animals, children playing in house compounds and the old women as well who are all vulnerable targets within the easy reach of the predators. This tragedy occured in Dhari Gaon in West Maniyarsiun Patti. What is interesting and shocking to note is the fact that on 6 th January twelve domestic pet goats were killed by the same leopard who was on prowl to target another lot of fourteen goats. The owner of these goats was Darwan Singh son of Some han Lal whose only source of income has been snatched from him. The state government should immediate come to his rescue and the animal husbandry department should monetarily compensate for the losses forthwith.

पौड़ी गढ़वाल की पौड़ी तहसील के मनियारस्यूँ पश्चिमी पट्टी के धारी गांव में दरवान सिंह पुत्र सोहनलाल की रात गुलदार ने 14 बकरियों को बाड़े के अंदर घुसकर मार डाला। यह वही काश्तकार है जिसकी 12 बकरियों को गत 6 जनवरी को इसी तरह गुलदार द्वारा मार डाल दिया था।
