Two youngsters rescued by SDRF Srinagar, Garhwal rescue team, from a deep down150 metre gorge at Khirsu

Thanks to the efficient rescue team of Srinagar, Garhwal SDRF for saving in time, two persons travelling in car and getting them admitted in a nearby hospital when their car fell over 150 meters deep down in a gorge today, injuring them grievously.

According to the latest news, on 17 th August 2021, a head constable of SDRF post at Srinagar Bhagat Kandari received an information from the police station incharge of Srinagar that a car has met with an accident at village Balori, Khirsu road in Pauri Garhwal district after it fell down over 150 metres down in a gorge with two persons in it.

The rescue team of SDRF led by Mr. Kandari immediately rushed to the accident site with all the necessary equipments to retrieve the injured.

On reaching the accidental spot, the SDRF team heard the cries of the victims calling for help in acute pain.

An Alto car had fell down in the gorge severely injuring two occupants of Garhwal, hailing from Kirti Nagar.

The names of the grievously injured are Vimla, aged 21 years, daughter of Ram Singh and Akshat Kala, aged 24, son of GR Kala, Kirti Nagar.

On hearing the cries of the injured inside the gorge, the dedicated SDRF team members with the help of a stretcher and ropes etc retrieved the severely injured persons and ferried them to the Srinagar hospital in 108 ambulance, thus saving their lives in time.

The occupants of the car were heading for Khirsu from Kirti Nagar, Tehri Garhwal, but unfortunately probably losing the control, the speeding car fell deep down in a gorge 150 metres below, finally saved by the timely intervention of the dedicated Srinagar SDRF team.

Thanks to the rescue team that consisted of Head constable Bhagat Singh, constables Devendra Kumar, Upendra Ishtwal, Vivekanand Ranakoti, Ranjit Singh, Kishan Singh, Narendra lal, technician Rahul Dobriyal and paramedic Pravin Singh. The entire team deserves our heartiest greetings for the timely good job in saving two precious lives.
