Harish Rawat talks of development n issues of employment, health, education n women empowerment replying to Anil Baluni’s charge of appeasement politics
The former Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat has accused the BJP government of hijacking his scheme of Char Dham Sadak Sudhar Pariyojna ( Four Religious Destination roads resurrection project) and converting it into an All weather roads project, destroying the ecology and environment of Uttarakhand by massively cutting trees and destroying mountains resulting in extinction of massive forests and landslides creating havoc with the lives of its inhabitants. The national general secretary and chief of the Congress election campaign committee was responding to the recent criticism by the national BJP media incharge n spokesman Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni who had strongly responded to Rawat’s Twitter post in which he has posted a picture of Defence minister Rajnath Singh wearing a cap of minority community in a Durgah asking the BJP leader as to whether they will call them as Maulana as he was termed as Maulana Harish Rawat when he was CM. Criticizing Congress leader Harish Rawat accusing him of doing Appeasement politics in the name of minorities Anil Baluni has advised him to talk on issues of employment, development, education n health etc rather than concentrating on appeasement politics towards minorities.
Veteran Congress leader as usual again posted his detailed views in his Twitter account addressing his political rival Anil Baluni as a younger brother in Kumaoni dialect saying that for a politician of a stature of national media incharge of a ruling party it does not suit him repeating prejudiced stereotype accusations of (appeasement) TUSHTIKARAN, PUSHTIKARAN and MUSHTIKARAN, ridiculing his charges.
He wrote, I welcome your statement in which you said that instead of these issues I should talk on important burning issues of employment, development, education and health etc.
Therefore in the morning today I thought of talking on the issues of employment, inflation that is existing all alround breaking the backbone of countrymen, economy that is in jeopardy, education and health that is in total disarray in Uttarakhand etc.
He added that on the development front, our discussion will commence only when we are able to scrutinize whether during the last four years of BJP rule any development has taken place? In fact it has not said Harish Rawat.
Had the Himalayan state witnessed the development during the last four years, the chief minister would not have changed, he said. Questioning Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni he said: you yourself has admitted that nothing has been done on economic, employment, health n people’s welfare front resulting in the change of the chief minister.
I am wondering what would be the fate of our youths questioned Rawat.
Patting his own back for various welfare schemes launched during his tenure as Uttarakhand CM pertaining to “Mera Gaon Meri Sadak Yojana”, Harish Rawat disclosed that during his chief ministership, about 300 kilometres roads were built under the ” My village My Road project”. He added that ” My tree My Wealth project” Launched by him has been closed by the present BJP government. Other invaluable projects such as Milk bonus, water harvesting bonus schemes and project related to promotion of local delicacies etc have also been abruptly closed said Rawat.
He accused the BJP government of closing his several pro people schemes launched during his tenure for the good of the Uttarakhand people.
Accusing the saffron party government of converting his ” CHAR DHAM SADAK SUDHAR PARIYOJNA”, ( four religious destination roads resurrection project”,) into All weather roads to gain political mileage, this project under the current government has cut forest trees in abundance, literally cutting mountains, damaging the ecology and environment of the state resulting in jungles becoming devoid of trees leading to massive landslides.
He appealed to the BJP government to provide employment to youths, empower women and farming community and lead to the state’s overall development.
He expects that Member of Parliament and BJP’s national media incharge Anil Baluni will fulfil all these pro people works and respond at the earliest wrote Harish Rawat in his Twitter post.
