Seven killed in Gandherbal in Kashmir with home minister terming it as a despicable act of cowardice. Will not spare the guilty says Amit Shah
Massive search have been conducted by the security forces in the entire Gandherbal district in J& K after the terrorists killed seven construction workers including a doctor at the construction site in Gandherbal. A Pakistan based Lashkar front has claimed responsibility for this dreaded attack. Meanwhile there are also reports that the security forces have been successful to kill a hardened Pakistan based terrorist in Baramullah fully equipped with grenades, pistols, arms and ammunition.
According to the latest news, the manhunt is going on by the security forces on full swing and the area put on complete alert to manhunt the terrorists involved in this most brutal killings of seven civilians which include 6 construction workers and one doctor for no fault of theirs.
The terrorists sprinkled bullets on the construction workers at the tunnel construction site in Gandherbal sending shock waves all around with an atmosphere of trauma in every anguished and shattered family.
The Bihari labourers are badly terrified and want to leave Kashmir due to the increasing terror attacks and enhanced terror killings.
The National Investigation Team has reached the affected spot for detailed investigations.
Meanwhile the National Conference leader Faroukh Abdullah while expressing his immense anger over this incident termed this as a dastardly cowardly act and emphatically said that he will not let Kashmir turn into Pakistan at any cost nor will there be any talk with them. If they really want to hold friendly relations with usthey should immediately give up siding and abetting terrorists. He asked : How long will these dastardly killings continue. We want to bring peace to the state but Pakistan is still aiding and abetting terrorists and creating instability here said Faroukh Abdullah.
The union fiance minister Amit Shah while expressing his serious concern and paying tributes said the dastardly terror attack on civilians in Gagangir, J&K, is a despicable act of cowardice.
Those involved in this heinous act will not be spared and will face the harshest response from our security forces. At this moment of immense grief, I extend my sincerest condolences to the families of the deceased. Praying for the speedy recovery of those injured wrote Amit Shah in X.
Leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi in his condolences message on X write : The killing of many people including a doctor and migrant labourers in the terrorist attack in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir is a very cowardly and unforgivable crime.
I express my deepest condolences to all the bereaved families and hope for the speedy recovery of the injured.
This audacity of terrorists will never be able to break the order of construction in Jammu and Kashmir and the faith of the people. The whole country is united in this fight against terrorism said Rahul Gandhi on his social media handle.
The chief of the Congress party and veteran leader of Opposition in the upper house Mallikarjun Kharge said : We strongly condemn the cowardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal where several construction workers and a doctor have been killed.
This inhumane and despicable act of targeted violence shall not deter India in building key infrastructure projects in Jammu and Kashmir. As a nation, we are together in our fight against terrorism.
