Atishi to be sworn in as Delhi chief minister with her cabinet ministers on 21st September

The designate chief minister of the national capital territory of Delhi Atishi Marlena and her cabinet will be swon in on September 21. This was announced by AAM ADMI PARTY high command after the outgoing chief minister Arvind Kejrival’s resignation letter was forwarded to the president Draupadi Murmu by the Lt. Governor of Delhi Vinay Saxena proposing her the date of swearing in.

After the submission of the resignation letter to the Delhi LG Vinay Saxena by Arvind Kejrival at the LG House Delhi the new designated chief minister Oxford educated Atishi Marlena staked the claim to form her government.

The new chief minister and her cabinet colleagues will be sworn in at the LG House by the Delhi LG Vinay Saxena. After her swearing in, Atishi will have to prove her majority in 26 / 27 September in the assembly which is currently having 60 AAP lawmakers with BJP having just eight state lawmakers.

Atishi will be the third woman chief minister of Delhi with first two being Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit. Late Sheila Dikshit who was earlier the minister in PMO had been the most successful chief ministers of the national capital territory having ruled in Delhi for fifteen long years leading to all round development of the capital including bringing Metro for the very first time.

During Shila Dikshit’s tenure as CM the Common Wealth games were very successfully hosted with new stadiums coming in and Delhi saw multi dimensional development with umpteen flyovers, bridges, wide metalled roads and metro in every corner of Delhi.

Atishi is the most vociferous leader of AAP who had been extremely vocal and vociferous when Arvind Kejrival was behind bars. She was cabinet minister in Delhi government holding the charge of 14 portfolios with three key departments like education, finance and revenue etc.

After her name was announced and she elected leader in the legislature party meeting she specifically thanked outgoing Delhi CM and publicly announced that not she but Arvind Kejrival will be the only CM of Delhi making absolutely clear that she is holding the charge up till election urging people of Delhi to vote for the AAP tremendously to reelect the AAP government with absolute majority crowning Arvind Kejrival as the next CM for the fourth time.
