MAIN ACCUSED IN RISHIKESH JOURNALIST ATTACK CASE ARRESTED. POLICE INVESTIGATING THE CASE THOROUGHLY TO ARREST OTHER ACCOMPLICES AS WELL.

The chief minister Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued urgent directives to raid at least one hundred liquor shops of Uttarakhand for over rating the prices of liquor, doing smuggling of liquor and carrying out illegal activities like supplying liquor in the interior areas etc. so far the administration and the excise department has carried out raids on liquor shops of Almora, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Haridwar, Dehradun and Rishikesh etc.

The law and order situation in Uttarakhand, its state capital and holy towns of Haridwar and Rishikesh has gone out of bonds, beyond control in terms of law and order maintenance.

While in Dehradun in the recent past a young girl was repeatedly gang raped in a bus at Dehradun bus terminus, a thirty two year old nurse working in a private hospital in Rudrapur raped and brutally murdered with her face disfigured with heavy stone , a 14 year old girl was raped in Haridwar including another serious incidentsof a senior journalist Yogesh Dimri n his colleagues being badly attacked with base ball bats and grievously injured admitted in AIIMS, Rishikesh in serious condition, a dacoity of jewels and cash worth Rs five crores committed in a jewellery shop and today a woman robbed of her gold chain at the same area with snatchers running away with it.

Sounds shocking that a state considered to be the land of abode of Gods has today become the safe haven for hardened criminals with land, mining, building and illicit liquor mafias having their fullest say and demography of Uttarakhand literally being destroyed.

Today, Uttarakhand has become the centre of massive land sales and liquor prevalence with the state government earning approximately 4.5 thousand crores from liquor sale on massive scale with legal and illicit liquor mafia too becoming extremely active in the hilly state with crime touching new heights.

The Rishikesh’s brutal attack on the senior journalist Yogesh Dimri and his colleagues by liquor mafia of Rishikesh injuring him seriously on his head and leg with head and leg completely plastered and bandage and lives of the injured in danger, the people of Uttarakhand are shocked over these mishappenings with not even the forth pillar of Indian democracy protected in the land of abode of Gods.

After this incident was massively highlighted in the media, a cial media and several political leaders and parties protesting on the ground and condemning the incident tooth and nail, the police department on the instructions of the politicians at the helm came into active mode , finally arresting one of the main accused Sunil Ganje putting him behind bars.

Yesterday a National Regional Party of Uttarakhand activists protested in Dehradun and had demanded immediate stringent action against the culprits involved in this incident with the journalist and organising secretary of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal meeting the injured journalist in the hospital and Regional party chief Semwal protesting with hundreds of activists.

The entire social media was agog with messages expressing shock and condemnation over this incident with demand for stringent action against the culprits.

Meanwhile according to the latest news after the incident was brought to the notice of the police through publication of condemnation messages in social media and political leaders condemning it massively the police came into action mode.

According to the senior superintendent of police Ajay Singh when the police acknowledged the information that a journalist Yogesh Dimri has been admitted at AIIMS Rishikesh in extremely serious condition after brutal attack on him , the police contacted him and his acquaintamces and sought detailed information about the incident. The police asked the victim and their colleagues who too were injured to submit a formal complaint to enable the police take immediate formal action against the accused and their accomplices if any. A person of Rishikesh Muni Ki Reti namely Sandeep Bhandari lodged a formal complaint at Rishikesh police station giving details of the attack with the names of the culprits.

Sandeep Bhandari said that the main accused was Sunil Ganja who had attacked Yogesh Bhandari and his friends alongwith his other accomplices using a baseball bat grievously injuring Yogesh Dimri on his head and leg including other body parts. Based on the written complaint the police lodged the FIR under sections 109 (1) /352 of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and arrested the accused namely Sunil Ganje. The SSP said that the police is seriously investigating the case and would ensure that other co accomplices are arrested forthwith and the liquor network being operated under their guidance also exposed.

He assured that the illegal activities of the liquor mafia is also being investigated in detail so that the illegal network is exposed and action taken against them as per the necessary sections of the law.
