MANU BHAKER GETS THE CHEQUE OF RS. THIRTY LAKHS FROM UNION SPORTS MINISTER MANSUKH MANDAVIYA as prize money from the govt.
The winner of two back to back Bronze medals in 10 metre Air pistol shooting in Paris Olympics Manu Bhaker has been presented with a cheque of Rs Thirty lakhs yesterday by the union sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya in a simple celebration in the sports ministry. While thanking the minister Manu Bhaker said : It was an honour to meet the Hon’ble Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today and personally thank him for his support and encouragement. With his continued efforts, the nation’s sportspersons can reach even greater heights ! Manu Bhaker who is back to her motherland with her personal coach Jaspal Rana two days ago is too busy these days meeting union minister Mansukh Mandaviya , the chief ministers of Haryana Naib Singh Saini and Punjab CM Bhagwat Mann who had extended her the special invitation to thank and bless her for her outstanding achievements raising the national tricolour high in the world. After meeting the Punjab CM Bhagwat Mann, Manu Bhaker wrote on X : I had a very fruitful meeting about the Paris Olympics with Punjab Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Mann at his office today. We celebrated India’s success in shooting, the historic Bronze medal in Men’s Hockey and Neeraj Chopra’s Silver medal win. I extend my gratitude to him for his warm hospitality. She also wrote on X after meeting the Haryana CM : It was a pleasure meeting with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Nayab Singh Saini today. He offered his congratulations and best wishes as he expressed his insightful vision for the future of Indian sports and the development of sports in our beloved state of Haryana. Kindly recall that when Manu Bhaker and her personal coach Jaspal Rana returned to India from Paris Olympics bringing laurels for the country winning two back to back Bronze medals they were accorded a tumultuous welcome by the sports lovers, their fans and well-wishers living in Delhi including staff of the shooting federation , Jaspal’s and Manu’s parents etc. Several activists if Uttarakhand Lok Manch with traditional drums and bag pipers had reached the Palam Airport and accorded both of them marvellous reception.
