Vinesh Phogat requests the French Embassy and union sports minister to help her brother get the VISA for Paris which has been rejected

The international wrestler who has to her credit becoming the first women wrestler to fetch two prestigious Bronze medals for the country in both, the Common Wealth and Asian Games, including winning another Gold medal in the Women’s fifty kg catagory in the Grand Prix of Spain international continental wrestling championship at Spain on Saturday , 7 th July 2024 has urged to the union sports minister Mansukh Lal Mandaviya and the French Embassy to help her brother get the VISA for Paris Olympics to enable him watch her wrestling match.

In a message on social media handle X Vinesh Phogat who had also been at loggerheads with the then MP and Wrestling Federation chairman Brijbhushan Sharan Singh taking him to court finally compelling him to resign , has written : Requesting @FranceinIndia to please grant a visa to my brother. He has submitted his second application on yesterday after his first visa application was rejected. It has been a lifelong dream to have my family watch me play at the Olympics. Need your help@mansukhmandviya.

It may be recalled that the VISA of Vinesh Phogat brother had been cancelled earlier by the France Embassy. Vinesh Phogat is in the Indian contingent having gone to Paris to participate in the fifty weight catagory wrestling championships. She said that she wanted the VISA for her brother because she is desirous of performing in front of the family in Paris Olympics.
