Though the newly elected chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is trying his level best to pacify the exasperated senior colleagues in his cabinet viz Satpal Maharaj and Harak Singh Rawat by presenting them bouquets and meeting them at their respective residences, seeking their blessings being his seniors, the latest reports suggest that all is nor well in the saffron party in Uttarakhand as both these ministers after the swearing in on Sunday left the venue in a huff silently exhibiting their annoyance not speaking to the media as well.
Their body language of these two annoyed ministers, definitely show that the knot of a intense ” NARAZGI” still continues as after the swearing both these senior ministers left the venue while other nine ministers were in jublant mode exchanging pleasentaries on their re appointments as ministers in new cabinet, meeting their friends and well wishers at the venue. While after the swearing in the ministers spoke to media at the governor’s residence , both Harak Singh and Satpal Maharaj had left the venue without facing the media clearly indicating that they are still not happy after their swearing in as cabinet ministers say nws analyst.
The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami before the swearing in, humbly met both Satpal Maharaj and Harak Singh Rawat at the venue before coming to his other cabinet colleagues, unambiguously indicating that he still wants to keep his both senior colleagues in good humour in order to ensure that he dosen’t face any untoward situation in the near future.
There had been news reports that about 35 lawmakers in BJP were annoyed and in a mood to rebel after the name of Khatima MLA Dhami was declared as CM of the state, led by Satpal Maharaj and Harak Singh Rawat though the BJP lateron claimed these news as mere rumours spread by the opposition Congress as a frustrated move.
The team of 11 ministers of the previous council of ministers during the outgoing CM Tirath Singh Rawat had been repeated ths time as well with the optimism that they will go alongwith their new CM efficiently to bring victory results in the ensuing assembly election slated for April 2022.
However, it still remains to be seen whether the faction ridden saffron party in Uttarakhand under the 11 th CM Pushkar Singh Dhami confronting challenges of alleged revolts within his own party comes out triumphed in 2022 or faces defeat at the hands of main opposition Congress whose leaders n rank n file seems to be highly optimistic mode of scoring massive victory at the hustings.
It may be recalled that Satpal Maharaj had always been an aspiring candidate since the first CM of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat was appointed by party high comand in 2017 n thereafter while Tirath and Dhami got the top slot. He had always been sidelined beingvan old Congress heavy weight doubting his loyalty towards the party. This led to this spiritual leader turned politician badly exasperated findung no hope of elevation in future in the saffron party.
