Anil Baluni, Ganesh Godiyal and Ashutosh Negi file nomination papers. Yesterday Baluni’s rally was a grand success and today Godiyal’s rally gather tremendous crowd. Ashutosh’s campaign too picks up
All the three candidates in Pauri Garhwal parliamentary constituency has filed their nomination papers in Pauri collectorate.
While the BJP candidate Anil Baluni had filed his nomination papers yesterday in the presence of union minister Smriti Irani , Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, MP and general secretary national BJP n in-charge Uttarakhand Dushyant Gautam, former CM n MP Tirath Singh Rawat and Uttarakhand BJP chief Mahinder Bhatt’s presence holding a massive rally with tremendous attendance of the people and party workers, the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal’s candidate Journalist and activist Ashutosh Negi too filed his nomination papers in a rally with workers holding Uttarakhand Kranti Dal flags and hailing him by raising his slogans of victory.
On the other hand the Congress candidate Ganesh Godiyal, the former two term MLA and state Congress chief filed his nomination papers today, holding a massive rally at Ramleela Maidan with thousands of enthusiastic supporters in presence, rasing Congress slogans hailing Ganesh Godiyal.
It is a hard fact that the attendance in the rallies play a very vital role to measure the chances of the candidates and the amount of popularity he or his party is carrying behind.
If we go by this factor than Ashutosh Negi, though a strong contender and a proactive fighter at the forefront to expose corruption in the state through his pen and news channel and filing SLP in Supreme Court in Ankita Bhandari matter demanding CBI enquiry and struggling hard since day one when Ankita Bhandari disappeared from Vanantara resort owned by a BJP leader, now expelled then it is quite clear that money wise, resources wise and being a poor candidate he is no match to the alleged ultra rich national parties in the fray, but his conviction and the issue for which he is in the fray is a multi million dollars morally dignified issue related to justice to a 19 year old poor fragile n innocent girl murdered brutally just because he forcibly refused to oblige a VIP. Kindly recall that in Uttarakhand more than hundred FIRs have been registered related to women sexual assaults.
However, there is no dearth of funds, money and other resources for the candidates of BJP and Congress who are not only experienced being former MLA twice ( Godiyal) and the national media in-charge ( Anil Baluni) to fight their elections hectically but also carry the credibilities of their party with them including their national leaders who they adore and appreciate in the public to derive political advantage during elections.
Looking at the rallies organised by BJP and Congress at Pauri Garhwal’s Ram Leela Ground after filing their nominations it is crystal clear that the fighting between the candidates of BJP and Congress is tremendous and Ashutosh Negi definitely becoming a deciding factor.
However, Ashutosh Negi’s candidature is very significant from Garhwal constituency as is Bobby Pawar’s candidature in Tehri Garhwal seat where he is posing direct challenge to the Maharani Rajya Lakshmi, a sitting MP not accessible to her voters much.
According to the political analysts while Ganesh Godiyal is giving a direct fight to Anil Baluni in Pauri Garhwal constituency Ashutosh Negi of UKD may prove disastrous for Ganesh Godiyal as the anti BJP votes that Ashutosh will gather on Ankita Bhandari issue and other matters like concrete land act, 150 Mool Niwas Praman Patra, Massive unemployment and cheating scam of UKSSSC etc which are common issues of Congress as well against the saffron party , would have gone to Ganesh Godiyal of Congress had Ashutosh not contested.
However, this is mere assumption as nothing can be said about the prediction of any seat in elections till the last date as any development may change the tide at the last moment.
After the entry of Ashutosh Negi in the fray the contest in Garhwal constituency which would have been a straight fight between BJP and Congress has now definitely become three cornered.
And nothing can be predicted till the EVM machine results are declared on June 4 th.
Despite all this Anil Baluni is sounding to be a powerful candidate having no dearth of finance and resources plus people thinking that due to his close proximity with the PM and HM including top echelons of central government he may prove to be an asset for the overall development of Pauri Garhwal constituency.
However, both Ganesh Godiyal and Ashutosh Negi are equally batting strongly and forcefully against the BJP candidate and the ruling party on several credible issues pertaining to inflation, the recent revealed electoral bonds issued under which the BJP had taken 6.5 thousand crores especially from those allegedly who according to news reports were investigated by CBI, ED and IT departments etc. the Ankita Bhandari case, VIP in the case, concrete land act , 1950 Mool Praman Patra and alleged massive corruption are some of the issues being highlighted by opposition while BJP’s Anil Baluni is deriving advantage of Modi charisma, the polarisation due to the consecration of Ram Temple, Uniform Civil Code bills implementation and assurance of making Garhwal a model developmental district in the near future. The issue of local vs outsider is also being propagated by Godiyal to the hilt against Anil Baluni likely to pay him good dividends reveal sources. Till then let’s keep our fingers crossed.
