The latest victim of a maneater GULDAAR attack is a four year old innocent boy of Simli village of Garhwal, Uttarakhand. The lives of the inhabitants of Uttarakhand villages is in immense peril with maneater roaming around and prowling for human flesh, making women, school going children, sr citizens and even young ones their easy victim. Few days ago on 25 th December a maneater leopard/ tiger has brutally killed three women in Jangalia village at Bhimtal, Kumaon division of Uttarakhand, finally trapping the maneater after great efforts, tranquilizing it. The former chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat has expressed his serious concerns over the increasing wild animals cum human conflict especially attack of maneater on human lives incessantly. Rawat on social media plat form wrote in anguish : Again a four year old innocent boy became the victim of a GULDAAR ( LEOPARD) and this time this incident happened in Simli village, in Chamoli district . Guldar and tiger have made it difficult for people to live in villages. People living in the villages are in panic. This is acting as an itch in the helpless exodus. States like Uttarakhand should formulate a proper policy on the damage caused by wildlife, including the loss of guldar and tiger, and implement it in their state with the help of the central government. Tiger-guldar are needed, but in those forest areas where their numbers are less. Here, in each village, it has become a den of two or three henchmen, for how long will the mother goat continue to live well.
