ELECTION DATES OF FIVE STATES ANNOUNCED !

The elections to the five states viz. Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan Telengana and Mizoram have been announced by the Election Commission of India on Monday. Acording to the ECI the elections of Chattisgarh and Mizoram will be commence on 7 th Never whereas the polling in Madhya Pradesh will take place on November 17 with Chattisgarh to go to polls in two phases, one on November 7 and another on November 17. However, the states of Rajasthan and Telangana will go for polls on 23 rd and 30 th November, 2023 respectively with counting of all the five states to take place on December 3. This date schedule was announced at a press conference of the ECI in Delhi addressed by Rajiv Kumar chief election commissioner in the presence of election commissioner Mr. Pandey etc. The Rajasthan Assembly elections will be held in a single phase announced the CEC Rajiv Kumar adding that the state has 5.25 crore voters and the term of the assembly comes to end on January 14. There are total 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan and the date of election is 23 rd November. In Chattisgarh there will be elections in two phases – on 7 th and 17 th November . 20 th and 30 October are the last date of nominations and withdrawal on 23 rd October and 2 nd November with counting on 3 December.

The Election Commissioner has in his press conference before announcing the schedule urged the poll observers in these five states to be vigilant, transparent and duty bound to ensure free, fair and non controversial inducement free polls. For the senior citizens above 80 years of age not able to move and suffering from various illnesses the CEC said test they will ensure that the Election Commission staff reach them at their doorstep for casting of votes. He also urged all its senior n juniors officers to work and eyes n ears of Election Commission to act on the complaints of voters etc promptly and on urgent basis ensuring that they are resolved immediately and free n fair elections conducted in all the five states.

Meanwhile the BJP president after the declaration of the dates of the elections of the five states welcomed the ECI decision and said that under the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi the BJP will form its government in all the five states acknowledging majority to fulfill their aspirations for five years.

The Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge also wrote on X, earlier twitter after the announcement of the dates of polls of five states. He tweeted : After the announcement of the dates of five states’ polls the proclamation about the defeat of BJP and it’s allies have been proclaimed. The Congress party will go to the people of Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, MP, Telagana and Mizoram with strong commitment. The Congress party guarantees people’s welfare, social justice and progressive development at all costs wrote Mallikarjun Kharge on X.
