Congress party is ready to go to any extent to oppose BJP’s integrated aero city project at Dehradun says, Harish Rawat

The politics in Uttarakhand pertaining to dream project integrated AEROCITY has gained tremendous momentum as the former Congressman chief minister Harish Rawat has levelled serious allegations on the saffron party government of the state.

Addressing a joint press conference at the party headquarter at Dehradun Harish Rawat and Congress state chief Karan Mahara had raised several questions against the BJP led state governments on this pivotal issue.

Rawat said that the integrated city project will lead to connectivity within Doiwala – Haridwar and Raiwala resulting in the entire pressure going on the other side.

Harish Rawat was categorical in his assertion that urbanisation will lead to multifarious and multidimensional problems which won’t be in the interest of the state’s capital Dehradun adding that integrated township will result in adding to their grievances with regard to employment scarcity thus making their survival difficult.

Harish Rawat alleged that the BJP government is making preparations to provide economic benefits to a few capitalists, and these are the people of a particular area to whom the government is giving protection. He said that the Congress has been in favor of the organized plan, but the Congress party is standing against this organization. He said that the Congress party is ready to go to any extent to oppose it.

On the other hand, the party’s state president Mahara says that the government is planning to destroy the agricultural land in the name of Aero City, and for this the government has kept a budget provision of 1100 crores.
