Five time MLA and one term MP from Phoolpur, gangster Atiq Ahmed gets life imprisonment !

The dreaded Uttar Pradesh gangster, former member of parliament and legislature from Uttar Pradesh sixty year old Atiq Ahmed has been today convicted in one of the prime witness kidnapping and subsequent murder case of 2005 and 2006 and sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment till he will be alive and Rs. One lakh fine. Two other culprits along with him has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a fine of Rs one lakh each under various serious sections of IPC. However, his brother Khalid Azim alias Shiraz and six other culprits have been acquitted. After the judgement by the MP, MLA Court in Prayagraj, convicted gangster and known mafia of Uttar Pradesh having a career of politics and criminalism of more than 45 years Atiq Ahmed has been convicted for the first time under the present regime of Yogi Aditya Nath despite the hard fact that there were over hundred cases against him under severe charges of murder, extortion and kidnappings as per the news coming in. Atiq Ahmed was ferried from Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat via police jail van under extreme right security arrangements of more than 24 hours and produced before the judge of the case amid tremendous crowd and security arrangements at Prayagraj. After the conviction he was taken to Naini jail but is now being taken to the Gujarat Sabarmati Jail again for security reasons as in UP jails his writ runs large and the Uttar Pradesh police is not ready to bear any risk. According to the latest news the sentence arrives just a month after in February the murder of Umesh Pal a key witness in the case of the murder of MLA Raju Pal. It is being allegedly said that even while being in Gujarat Jail the gangster Atiq Ahmed managed to get Umesh Pal killed through sharp shooters in the month of February. During the shootout two CRPF policeman ( bodyguards) were also killed on 24 February when MLA Raju Pal escorted by these two security guards was killed by professional killers while he was in his SUV. He was pumped 19 bullets said the news report. According to the CCTV footage the two bodyguards who were coming out of the car with MLA Raju Pal were repeatedly fired upon multiple times by the hired killers from the back n front side giving them no chance to retaliate as they were too killed on the spot with the MLA. In between a bomb was also exploded leading to commotion and traffic jam and panicked people running helter and skelter to save their lives amid huge smoke. After detailed investigations and revelation by Umesh Pal earlier that he was kidnapped by Atiq in 2005 n threatened with dire consequences if he doesn’t retract his statement n relent as a witness, the UP police named Atiq as the prime suspect in the murder with two others. Today the court held him guilty with two others and sentenced him to life imprisonment along with two other co accused while his brother and seven others were acquitted. The mother of Umesh Pal and wife of Raju Pal MLA has demanded capital punishment to the culprits instead of life imprisonment as they still fear for their lives after the acquittal of Atiq’s brother n 6 other co accused. Kindly really that mafia Atiq Ahmed had been the legislature from Samajwadi party for five consecutive terms and was MP from Phulpur Lok Sabha from 2004 to 2009 later on joint Apna Dal and finally AIMIM party of Owaisi MP. Since 2019 he was lodged in Jail now again sent to Sabarmati Jail. There are reports that Atiq will go to higher courts to seek relief. According to Uttar Pradesh government it has till now confiscated properties and assets worth Rs 2827 crores of mafias and gangsters including demolished illegal properties leading to loss of over Rs. 1500 crores to state mafias. The ADG law and order Uttar Pradesh says that the government will act upon more than 60 mafias of UP and bring them to justice.
