Uttarakhand academy in Delhi to impart Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsaari dialects’ training to interested learners in various localities of Delhi

The Garhwali, Kumaoni, Jaunsaari Academy of Delhi government has taken an initiative to impart Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsaari dialect training to those interested to learn them in various Uttarakhandi dominated areas of National Capital Territory of Delhi especially in Vinod Nagar, Buradi, Najafgarh, Patpadganj, Dayalpur, Matur Vihar, Nathupura, Kondli, Mehrauli, Rohini, Greater Kailash, Palam, Badarpur, Ghonda, Kalkaji, Gole Market, Karawal Nagar, etc. The Academy will provide Rs 7000 per month to the teachers interested ti impart training of these three regional dialects to the learners.

The necessary manual and other information in this regard van be obtained from the main office of the academy situated at Jhandewalan, New Delhi during office hours till 31 December, 2022. It may be recalled that the AAP government of Delhi has on the demand of the inhabitants of Uttarakhand living in Delhi had founded the Garhwali, Kumaoni n Jaunsaari Academy in the year 2016 to propagate the Uttarakhand’s cultural heritage including its folk songs n dances, literature etc among the inhabitants in the national capital. It had also promoted the Uttarayini festival in Delhi including holding of the cultural festival of children theatre in regional dialects for ten days at Pyarelal Bhawan. The secretary of Delhi Garhwali, Kumaoni, Jaunsaari academi has divulged this information through an advertisement released in various Delhi newspapers. This significant initiative of Delhi government is being lauded among Uttarakhand’s populace in Delhi.
