The first ever Uttarakhand OTT platform launched by the joint initiative of renowned entrepreneur Harshpal Singh Chowdhary n Anuj Joshi in Dehradun

The OTT Uttarakhand Platform was today launched in Dehradun by Ambe Cine in a glittering function by the joint efforts n initiatives of renowned entrepreneur Harshpal Singh Chowdhary and director, producer Anuj Joshi in the presence of various luminaries of Uttarakhand from cross section of the society.

This will be the first ever OTT platform of Uttarakhand that will encourage and promote not only the experienced and budding artists, actors, folk singers, dancers, directors, producers, lyricists, script writers of Uttarakhand but will also help in exhibiting films, programmes, web series and interesting events of the Himalayan state including generating employment to youngsters and those related to the field of arts, culture and regional cinema etc.

The chief guest of the OTT launch function minister of Tourism Uttarakhand, Satpal Maharaj while lauding the revolutionary initiative of Harshpal Singh Choudhary, Anuj Joshi and their dedicated team assured the audience that the state government will bring out a positive new policy on OTT in the near future to ensure that regional films, actors, artists, producers and those associated with film making are helped to the fullest adding that the present government is already granting 25 lakhs on the making of regional films in Uttarakhand’s serene location and Rs 1.25 to 1.50 crores on Bollywood films if 75 % of it is shot in Uttarakhand’s various location.

Tourism minister Satpal Maharaj while emphasising on encouragement to tourism in the state also described about the concessions being accorded to the private sector and tourists including pilgrims in spiritual and religious tourism during Char Dham Yatra and other forms of tourism.

He added that his government is fully dedicated to promote regional films, it culture, languages and traditions including all forms of tourism in Uttarakhand where till now 40 lakhs pilgrims have visited the state in Chardham Yatras and secured the first prize in Tourism nationally bringing good name to the country and the state.

The legendary singer, lyricist, music composer, poet of eminence and literateur Narendra Singh Negi while appreciating the marvellous work done by leading entrepreneur of Uttarakhand, Harshpal Singh and Anuj Joshi in bringing out the first ever OTT platform has urged the Uttarakhandies all over the globe to subscribe to the Uttarakhand OTT app and contribute Rs 499 annually to promote Uttarakhand’s regional films, traditions, culture and folk songs n dances thus contributing in conserving the regional culture, languages, traditions and ancient culture followed by financially strengthening the hands of the Uttarakhand OTT platform promoters. He lauded them whole heartedly saying that this new OTT platform of Uttarakhand will work as an invaluable asset to promote our regional languages and culture and bring entertainment to out door steps.

The programme was addressed by renowned social activist and journalist of Uttarakhand Charu Tiwari, leading entrepreneur Harshpal Singh Chowdhary, renowned director Anuj Joshi, actor Rakesh Gaur, Ghananand bhai, former state minister of UK, Meena Rana, singer, and others.
