Eminent journalist Vinod Agnihotri honoured by Dr. M.M.Joshi

New Delhi, January 24, 2025: Rasta, a non-profit organization, marked a dual milestone on
January 24th by celebrating National Girl Child Day and its 30th anniversary at the prestigious
C.D. Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre, New Delhi.

The celebration witnessed vibrant cultural performances by girls enrolled in various Rasta initiatives across the National
Capital Region.

The occasion was graced by eminent dignitaries, including Padma Vibhushan Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, former Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Global Head of CSR at HCL Tech and Director of HCL Foundation, and Shri Vinod Agnihotri, Consulting Editor of Amar Ujala, attended as Guests of Honour. The Consulting editor of Amar Ujala , renowned journalist Vinod Agnihotri was also felicitated by the chief guest former union HRD minister Dr.Murlimanohar Joshi for outstanding journalism.

The distinguished guests launched Rasta’s commemorative book, “Hamara Safar 30-
30”, chronicling three decades of impactful work. They also presented mementos to Rasta’s supporting partners and celebrated the achievements of program participants, applauding the inspiring cultural performances.

Mr. Pooran Chandra Nainwal, President of Rasta, warmly welcomed the Chief Guest with a shawl and bouquet.Rasta’s CEO, Mr. K.C. Pant, extended his gratitude to all attendees.

In his address, Mr. Pant reflected on Rasta’s 30-year journey, highlighting the organization’s far reaching impact—directly transforming the lives of 500,000 beneficiaries and indirectly
benefiting 1.5 million individuals through a range of programs supported by esteemed funding partners.

Currently, Rasta is providing quality education to over 1,000 girls in the National Capital
Region, including 300 students enrolled in it Rasta School in Khora Colony. The school has been instrumental in offering formal education and fostering holistic development for girls.

The event concluded with the National Anthem followed by an awards ceremony to honour
all participants for their exceptional contributions.
