FESCBT-2026: Two-Day National Conference Inaugurated at CAFRI, Jhansi on Earth Day Jhansi,

The first day of the two-day National Conference FESCBT-2026 was successfully inaugurated today at ICAR–CAFRI, Jhansi. The conference is being jointly organized by Save The Environment (STE), Kolkata and Gurugram in collaboration with CAFRI, ICAR, Jhansi, marking the occasion of Earth Day with a strong commitment towards protecting Mother Earth from environmental hazards.
The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. A. K. Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, RLBCAU, Jhansi. The event was graced by the Guests of Honour, Dr. Niloy Khare, Advisor, Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi, and Dr. S. K. Singh, Joint Director, SSPL, DRDO, Delhi.

On this occasion, distinguished individuals were recognized for their outstanding contributions to society and environmental protection. Dr. A. K. Singh was conferred the STE Dr. Praloy O. Basu Lifetime Achievement Award, while Dr. Niloy Khare was honoured with the Sustainability Ratna Leadership Award.
Several other eminent personalities were also felicitated under various award categories.
In their addresses, the dignitaries emphasized the urgent need for collective action to address environmental challenges and encouraged sustainable practices.
A pledge was taken by all participants on Earth Day to protect and preserve the environment from all kinds of hazards.
More than 100 delegates from across the country participated in the conference in both online and offline modes, sharing their insights and research on environmental sustainability.

Shri KC Pandey from Daiki axis India (a Japanese company world leader in packaged decentralised STP) participated in the event & delivered a talk on how Japanese model of Johakasou law & Johkasou technology can be implemented most effectively in grey & black water management in India.
