The 15th reunion of the Lansdowne Old Student Association (LOSA) celebrated with great vigour and vitality. Kudos .




The 15th reunion of the Lansdowne Old Student Association (LOSA) was celebrated with great pomp in the tourist town of Lansdowne.

The first day of this two-day event was inaugurated by social worker and Congress leader Raghuveer Singh Bisht, Executive Engineer Vivek Singh, Secretary of Garhwal Heroes Delhi, Anil Negi, and Sunil Negi,leading journalist , president of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum and editor UKnationnews.
On this occasion the ex – students introduced themselves in detail, and winners of several competitions were awarded for their outstanding contribution in education, sports and other activities.

The second day of this two-day event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp as chief guest by Brigadier Vinod Singh Negi VSM, Commandant, The Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre, first citizen of Lansdowne and other distinguished guests.




In his address, Brigadier Negi said that while cultural unity energizes, sports strengthens one physically. He praised LOSA’s remarkable effort to honor former teachers and students. He also appealed to youths to come forward and apply in Garhwal Rifles for their recruitments so as to enable him help them.
He also congratulated the outstanding students and those who were rated as best students, sportsmen and in the field of cultural activities including the teachers for their dedicated contributions in shaping the future of the students hailing from Lansdowne and its surroundings.
Along with the old teachers, veteran Mr. Jagmohan Singhan Rawat, who served as a director at the city’s Ramlila in Lansdowne for 21 years, counseled hundreds of young people during his time at the employer’s office and helped them find jobs through his office. Mrs. Usha Naithani, President of the Swar organization, was awarded the LOSA Senior Citizen Award for involving women in cultural and social work.
In this series, the Ghananand ‘Ghanna Bhai’ Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 was announced, to be given in the memory of Uttarakhand’s most popular artist, the comedy emperor, the late Ghananand Gagodia “Ghanna Bhai” for the development of art and culture from 2025. This year, this prestigious honor was given to Dr. Satish Kaleshwari, an artist in Garhwal films and plays, poet/lyricist, playwright, storyteller, president of The High Hilers Group, and an active member of several cultural organizations in Delhi.
Five city schools participated in the folk dance competition, with Kendriya Vidyalaya coming in first, Government Inter College Jayharikhal second, and Economic Public School third. Special guests presented LOSA scholarships to meritorious and underprivileged students.
The Garhwal Heroes Secretary Anil Negi, Vice President Rattan Rawat were felicitated for their tireless efforts and that of Mr. Brij Bhushan Nautiyal for outstanding selfless contributions in making Garhwal Heroes team capable in bagging the prestigious Delhi Football Championships title for the sixth time in the national capital territory. The senior journalist Sunil Negi was also honoured with a LOSA trophy for his outstanding contribution in journalism and writing on pivotal issues of Uttarakhand.
This year, the T-shirts worn by LOSA members were donated by Mr. Anil Negi, Secretary of Garhwal Heroes, Delhi, and senior members. Mr. Brij Bhushan Nautiyal, of Sports Foundation was also felicitated on this ocassion including the special guest ( in his absence) Sanjay Joshi leading entrepreneur and producer of Gangtaul Garhwali movie with a trophy and Tshirt received by Sunil Negi.
LOSA President Dr. S.P. Naithani and Secretary Ajay Agarwal thanked the Chief Guest, distinguished guests, all the schools and departments, the Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre, the police, journalists, respected spectators, and the winning students and their families who supported the LOSA meet.
