Uttarakhand Congress to commence its Swabhiman Nyay Yatra in Pauri Garhwal district to demand CBI inquiry in Ankita Bhandari’s brutal murder and quick justice !
The Uttarakhand Congress has come into active mode after a gap and had staged two Dharna cum demonstrations in the state’s capital Dehradun, one on the skyrocketing inflation of essential commodities and vegetables with tamato prices crossing Rs 100 a kilogram in particular and on Ankita Bhandari brutal murder case demanding CBI Inquiry in the matter at the earliest.
The former Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat and State Congress president Karan Mahara, state Mahila Congress chief Mrs, Jyoti Rautela and office bearers including activists sat on Dharna raising anti government slogans, holding play cards demanding CBI enquiry and denouncing the BJP government for not giving justice to the bereaved family of Ankita Bhandari and siding with the criminals.
The Congress president of Uttarakhand Karan Mahara and Harish Rawat sat on Dharna in rain and addressed the crowd coming down heavily on Uttarakhand BJP government for failing on law and order front and not agreeing to countless demand of the people asking for an impartial CBI enquiry in Ankita Bhandari’s brutal murder case accusing the government of deliberately delaying the investigations and allegedly patronising the culprits since the alleged culprits were from BJP. The parents of Ankita Bhandari have been demanding change of the public prosecutor who is supposedly helping the culprits. A petition for CBI enquiry has already been admitted in Supreme Court being fought by senior advocate Mr. Gonsalves filed by none other than a journalist and social activist of Pauri, Garhwal Ashutosh Negi.
Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand Congress president Karan Mahara had announced that a “Swabhiman Nyay Yatra”, from 17 July to 22 July will be organised in Pauri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand against 19 year old innocent Ankita Bhandari’s brutal murder demanding CBI enquiry, against deteriorating law and order situation in the state, increasing unemployment and skyrocketing inflation in essential commodities and vegetables, especially tomatoes.
The Swabhiman Yatra will be organised in all the blocks and nook and corners of the Pauri Garhwal district to arouse public opinion by Uttarakhand Congress said Karan Mahara through his tweet. The former Congrese chief of Utarakhand and former CM Harish Rawat also tweeted : The Uttarakhand Mahila Congress protested against the increasing price rise in essential commodities at Dehradun and I garlanded the state Mahila Congress chief Smt Jyoti Rautela with the garland of vegetables to bless her as well as to register our protest against skyrocketing inflation tweeted former CM Uttarakhand Harish Rawat.
