Uttarakhand chief secretary directs top bureaucrats of the state including DMs to fulfill PMs assurances to the people of the state
The chief secretary of Uttarakhand Radha Raturi has given instructions to all the Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, In-charge Secretaries and all District Magistrates for compliance and effective implementation of the requests made to the residents of Uttarakhand State and the tourists coming from outside of Uttarakhand in the address given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the 25th foundation day of Uttarakhand State.
The Chief Secretary directed the higher education and school education Department to prepare and submit an action plan regarding the conservation of local dialects like Garhwali, Kumaoni, Jaunsari in compliance with the Prime Minister’s request. She also directed the Forest and Environment Department to prepare and submit an action plan regarding the Prime Minister’s request for environmental conservation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged that the whole country knows how great lovers of nature and environment the people of Devbhoomi are.
Uttarakhand is the land of Gaura Devi and every woman here is a form of Maa Nanda. It is very important that we protect nature. Therefore, my second request is ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, everyone has to take this movement forward said prime minister in his address. Nowadays you are seeing that this campaign is going on at a fast pace across the country. The faster Uttarakhand works in this direction, the more we will be able to fight the challenge of climate change asserted PM Modi.
The Chief Secretary directed the Jalagam Department to prepare and submit an action plan to comply with the Prime Minister’s request for conservation of rivers. The third request made by the Prime Minister was that there is a tradition of worshipping Naulas and streams in Uttarakhand. All of you should conserve the rivers and Naulas, speed up the campaigns that promote water cleanliness.
Mrs. Radha Raturi directed the General Administration Department to prepare and submit an action plan in compliance with the Prime Minister’s request to the people of the state to connect with their villages. The Prime Minister’s fourth request was to stay connected to your roots, visit your villages regularly and definitely visit your villages after retirement. Keep the relationship strong there.
The Chief Secretary directed the Tourism Department to prepare and submit an action plan to comply with the Prime Minister’s appeal to the people of the state to preserve traditional houses in their villages. He also directed the Tourism Department to prepare and submit an action plan to create public awareness by coordinating with all the concerned departments as necessary to comply with the four appeals made by the Prime Minister to the tourists and devotees coming from outside.
Mrs. Radha Raturi directed that all departments should take necessary action on the related points to comply with all the requests made by the Prime Minister for the overall development of the state. Along with this, she directed that appropriate action should be taken to widely publicize the requests made to the tourists coming from outside to Uttarakhand state and the Chief Secretary will be informed about the action being taken in this regard from time to time.
Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi said that all the nine requests made by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi are helpful in the all-round development of the state of Uttarakhand as well as the development of the country.
