Two back to back earthquake in Venezuela with 164 killed and 1000 injured

Venezuela whose president has been captured by US and jailed has suffered two back to back severe earthquakes measuring 7.5 and 7.2 on the richter scale causing massive human deaths numbering to 164 and around one thousand injured, majority of them severely.

There are still reports of hundreds of the people being buried under the rubble of the fallen buildings with the French authorities having sent a special team of eighty five experts and US already working on various rescue operations vigorously.

Indian prime minister Narendra Modi has expressed his deepest condolences on this heart wrenching tragedy taking 164 lives. Parting grief with the Venezuelan people prime minister Narendra Modi wrote on X: Deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the severe earthquakes in Venezuela.

On behalf of the people of India, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Venezuela, especially to the families who have lost their loved ones. We pray for the speedy recovery of those injured and stand in solidarity with all those affected during this difficult time.

India stands ready to extend all possible assistance said PM Modi.

The United States president Donald Trump whose administration has arrested the Venezuelan president sending him behind bars for life and imposing his puppet government on the peace loving Venezuelan people said that the two major earthquakes that just hit the great people of Venezuela are both massive in scale and have left a devastating number of deaths. The U.S.A. stands ready, willing, and able to help! I have instructed all agencies of our government to get ready to move quickly. We will be there for our new and great friends. Early reports are not good!!! Said President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile the United States secretary of the state Rubio who is looking after the relief and rescue operations in Venezuela assured that their main aim is to carry out the rescue operations on war footing , taking out those under the debris safely.

He catagorically said that right now we’re worried that there are people trapped in rubble. We want to help them get out. Some of those people are relatives that live in the United States, but no matter what the United States has always responded to humanitarian crises, especially in our own hemisphere. That’s what we’re focused on now,” Rubio told reporters.

“We’re faced with this and now we have to respond to it, and we will in a very positive way.” said the US state secretary.

The Spain,Netherlands,Chekz Republic and France are ready to help the Venezuelan people and have spoken to he higher authorities sending their rescue teams etc to their country.
The French President Emmanuel Macron has already announced about sending 85 highly trained French specialists in search and rescue operations expressing hisdolidarity with the affected people of Venezuela. The Turkish President Tayyib Erdogen and the Quatari Emirsheikh Tamim Bin Hamid expressed their solidarity with the Venezuan people and assured of their all possible help and support in any form. The United Nations has also come forward with every possible support and help. The United Nations migration agency chief, Amy Pope, says it is urgently mobilising efforts to assess the needs of thousands of people affected by the earthquakes.

“Heartbreaking news from Venezuela where two powerful earthquakes struck within moments. Lives lost, many injured, and communities affected,” she wrote. “Swift international support is critical to respond.”
