In a tragic incident, 8 people were buried in a landslide at Kot village near Buda Kedar in Tehri-Garhwal district. So far three dead bodies have been rescued from the spot. Search and rescue operation is still underway by SDRF and local administration.
The landslide happened after heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand over last few days.
This comes just days after similar incidents:
– In Toli village, Bhilangana block (Tehri), a mother and daughter were buried alive when their house was hit by a landslide late at night.
– Earlier, heavy rains have caused 31 deaths in this monsoon season itself as per State Disaster Management Dept.
In Budha Kedar area, that is the confirmed latest 3-death landslide in Garhwal.
