TRAGEDIES IN UTTARAKHAND, BOULDER KILLS TWO OCCUPANTS OF MAX, OPPOSITE HELANG, A MOUNTAIN CRASHES DUE TO DYNAMITE EXPLOSIONS AND KOTDWAR DUGGADDA ROAD BLOCKED

There’s an extremely tragic news coming in from Dugadda Kotdwar road about the brutal death of two commuters after a boulder felling on them without any prior indication.

According to the latest news the huge boulder fell on the Max near the Sidhbali Temple Kotdwara on Dugadda Kotdwar road all of a sudden killing two on the spot and injuring others after the Max was badly smashed due to the boulder falling in it.

During monsoons the incidents of boulders falling on roads and commuters is a common feature with several deaths being reported.

Meanwhile in another incident the Kotdwar Duggadda road have been blocked for commuters due to overflooding and massive silt damaging the roads with traffic blocked on both sides for hours together.

In a third incident a big portion of the mountain has come down in the shape of the massive landslide opposite HELANG on the bairage site of Vishnugaad Pipalkoti project in f National Thermal Power Corporation.

The labourers and others working on the site ran helter and shelter to save their lives.

This happened due to the dynamite explosions being carried out on this NTPC project that led to the massive subsidence at Joshimath, though environmentally ug us legally prohibited and only mannual drilling allowed on mountains with machines.

The mountains have been weakened by the continuous blasting dirung the hydroelectric project being built and as a result cracks have appeared on the mountains at many places that fall as boulders on roads becoming extremely fatal at times and blocking roads due to massive landslides etc.

The mountain in front of Helang at the barrage site of Vishnugarh Pipalkoti project cracked and fell today.

The workers working at the site ran away to save their lives. However, some workers got caught in it and got injured. Due to the accident happening in broad daylight, a major loss was averted.

In most of the projects, be it road construction or hydroelectricity, a lot of explosives are used, due to which mountains have become weak at many places and new areas of landslides have developed, which are causing such accidents.

Questions have been raised on this issue continuously but the ruling government administration keeps waiting for a big accident to take even a little action…
