SSP Dehradun Pramendra Dobal convened a high level police officers meeting and reviews the law and order situation
In view of the increasing crime rate in the state capital of Dehradun and its surroundings especially several videos of hoodlums firing in the open in hilly areas and skirmishises bring bad name to Uttarakhand the Senior Suprintendent of Police of Dehradun range Pramendra Dobal has convened a high level meeting of the top police brass in Dehradun. The Operation Prahar undertaken by the Dehradun police has proved successful and nabbed several criminals clandestinely hiding in Dehradun and carrying out their criminal activities. The meeting presided over by the SSP Dehradun IPS Mr. Pramendra Dobal with other senior police officers took the review of the Operation Prahar in Dehradun circle wide to get an idea about its implementation at the decentralised levels. The meeting came to the conclusion that the professional criminals, wanted criminals and those with prize in their heads should not be spared at any costs and brought to justice. Porders have been issued firthewith to take immediate stringent legal action against those breaching the peace in the capital and carrying out their illegal activities. Instructions were also issued for effective action against those violating traffic rules, especially rash/drunk and drive, driving without number plates and operating vehicles with unauthorized horns. In addition to this directions were also issued conduction of regular checking of bars/pubs/hotels/dhabas at night and to take legal action against the establishment operators who open after the stipulated time period/violate the rules.Majoroty of the crimes take place through these bars where the criminals get inebriated and then commit crimes etc.
