The son of the union government’s Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, invited the 17-year-old daughter of a 600 crore-worth owner to a party at his farmhouse. He and his friends drugged her and raped the minor girl several times. This is indeed a very obnoxious act, a heart wrenching shameful incident that reminds us of Ankita Bhandari case of Uttarakhand where this 19 year innocent girl was brutally killed by the son of a state minister of Uttarakhand in BJP rule, and his accomplices after she refused to accord the sieciam services to a VIP. There are several case of rapes of Uttarakhand in which the saffron party leaders were arrested and the latest being the case of Champawat where an adolescent was the gang rape victim in which a BJP leader was named.
Luckily, the girl in Hyderabad survived, but posters demanding the arrest of Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and his 25-year-old, abusive son have been put up across Telangana, including Hyderabad, because for the first four days even the DGP of Telangana allegedly did not dare to register an FIR.
Since Telangana is under the Congress government, after the orders of Chief Minister Remanth Reddy, an FIR was registered under strict sections but the police could not find that perverted rapist.
Four days ago, Prime Minister Modi had gone to Hyderabad from where he did a road show in Gujarat with a fleet of hundreds of cars, advising the common people to use cars, scooters, motorcycles and cooking oil sparingly.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi was also seated with respect on the stage with Modi in Hyderabad, after which posters demanding the minister’s dismissal and the arrest of his son were put up across the state.
Apart from the Ankita Bhandari case it also remind if the son of the earlier state union home minister Mr. Tony whose son has barged his car into a group of farmers and killed them in Uttar Pradesh few years ago inviting the nation wide peasants protest demanding his ouster.
The top leaders silence is similar to that of the Ankita Bhandari case in Uttarakhand.
