The president and prime minister today congratulated 19 year old Jeremy Lalrinnunga for clinching the second Gold Medal in the Birmingham Common Wealth Games 2022 establishing a Commen Wealth record in the men’s, 67 kilogram final weightlifting competition by successfully lifting 136 kg in the first round in his snatch effort and then 140 kgs in another try bettering it. He thereafter coupled it with bonkers lift of 160 kgs in the Clean n Jerk catagory finishing with 300 kgs, thus making a CWG outstanding record. With this gold India has now maintained the total tally of five medals in Birmingham Commen Wealth Games. Meanwhile, another good news for India is that in 73 kg, Priya has bagged another Gold medal for India in World competition being held in Italy.
