MLA fund in Delhi increased to Rs 15 crores for each MLA annually. Highest in India declared Delhi CM Atishi
As the elections are round the corner, the Delhi government has increased the annual MLA fund phenomenally from Rs ten crores to 15 crores , highest in the country.
If we go by the statistics about the MLA funds of other states in the country, Gujarat gives the lowest tk its state lawmakers – only 1.5 crores to its MLAs annually amd few other states whereas Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh , Karnataka only give Rs two crores annually for development in MLA funds, while Orissa, Tamilnadu and Madhya Pradesh receive three crores annually.
Maharashtra, Telengana governments give five crores annually but the only state of Delhi which used to earlier give ten crores annually has enhanced MLA fund per state lawmaker to Rs 15 crores now to ensure speedy and expeditious development in various MLA constituencies rather than the lawmaker waiting endlessly in various departmental hiccups etc related to developmental projects of their respective constituencies. This was disclosed by the Delhi chief minister Atishi Bharadwaj in a press conference today alongwith her cabinet colleague Saurabh Bharadwaj.
Responding to the questions of the media regarding Delhi government already going in fiscal deficit and is still increasing the MLAs annual budget Delhi CM Atishi said that there are 22 states in the country where BJP is running their governments , just give me the stance of one state where these governments of saffron party are not running massive fiscal deficit , I will take back my decision to increase the MLA funds annually said Delhi CM Atishi Bharadwaj, if you let me know of my query.
On the question of sealing her house and not let her function with media compelling her to give the reply, the vociferous Delhi CM Atishi said that the saffron party has failed despite its best efforts of the last 27 years to come to power in Delhi and make their CM. Now, they think that their only aim to capture the CM house for which there are heartily welcome saying that because of my luggage thrown out and CM house sealed I am compelled to work with my luggage packed.
Have you ever seen happening this earlier asked the cabinet minister Saurabh Bharadwaj who said that she we were alloted the house of former deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain, their families had stayed there for several months till they were finally settled but nothing happened then ,but now a conspiracy is being hatched by the BJP government to harrass our CM which has never occured in future.
Regarding the increase in the MLA funds to 25 crores annually Saurabh Bharadwaj said that due to massive rains this year the roads have developed pot holes, the pavements of parks got broken and sever situation in mess where lot of works need to be done on wider scale expeditiously , hence enhanced budged is the need of the time. Moreover the BJP state lawmakers too had been very often meeting me and requesting to enhance their MLA funds and finally we’ve responded to their demand and enhanced the budget for development in Delhi in various constituencies where due to departmental delays lot of development and innovation projects were unnecessarily deferred leading to he sufferings of the electorates said Saurabh Bharadwaj while addressing the press conference.
