ITBP braveheart Poonam Devi given final adieu with full state honours, everyone in tears
A heart wrenching tragic news is coming in from the Chamoli Garhwal district with tears in everyone’s eyes when a young braveheart girl in Inddo Tuber Police force met with the sad end namely Poonam Devi who was accorded a final adieu amid tears and trauma with fily members and relatives including those in the village and surround villages literary shocked and in tremendous grief. According to the latest news an extremely sad news has emerged from Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, where Poonam Devi, a resident of Talwari Khalsa village and a constable posted with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), was martyred. The martyr was given a final farewell with full military honors at her ancestral ghat. As her body arrived in her native village, an atmosphere of mourning swept across the region, and large numbers of villagers gathered to pay their last respects. Poonam Devi, who had been battling a long-term illness, breathed her last during treatment on May 31. The news of her death plunged not only her family but the entire region into deep grief.
Her last rites were performed with full state honoured with her body drained in a national tri colour and gun salutes accorded with reverence.
