I.N.D.I.A ‘s fourth meeting convened on 19 December in New Delhi

The meeting of Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance, a conglomeration of more than 26 national and regional anti BJP opposition parties earlier scheduled for 6 th December has been postponed to 19 th December, 2023.

This was announced by the senior Congress leader, former union minister and its national communication department’s chairman Jairam Ramesh through a message on the social media platform X. He wrote : The fourth meeting of the I. N. D. I. A. leaders will be held on 19 th November, 2023 in New Delhi at 4 PM.

Had there been a thumping Congress victory in the recently held elections in five states, this fourth meeting of I. N. D. I. A. earlier scheduled for 6 th December would have been extremely significant inviting quite a media hype but was postponed for 19 December now under several pretexts of opposition leaders of various parties being busy in pre engagements etc.

However, the fact of the matter is that the Congress party which lost its two states, rather three Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh is the biggest loser having lost its political weight as the biggest national party in I. N. D. I. A. losing its credibility for claiming the centrally dominant leadership of the new set up and asking for its paramount seat share in states say political analysts.

According to the latest news, the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Uttar Pradesh Samajwadi leader and former CM Akhilesh Yadav and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar who commenced the INDIA initiative from Bihar have already expressed their inability to attend the earlier scheduled meeting on December 6.

The TN chief minister M. K. Stalin too is tied up with the relief operations in the state due to natural disaster etc.

After the Congress losing two states – Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and not giving a good fight in MP where it ruled earlier but dethroned after a fraction of Congress MLAs led by Mr. Scindia defected to BJP destabilising Kamal Nath government, the West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee firing a taunt / missive against Congress leadership Sonia and Rahul Gandhi saying that losing in three hindi belt states of Congress was not BJP’s triumph but the Congress party’s utter failure / debacle.

The BJP leaders had already called the INDIA unity attempt as utter failure saying that the Congress and Samajwadi party had already quarreled during the seat sharing in Madhya, Pradesh with SP fighting on 69 seats against Congress and BJP candidates losing their security deposits in 43 seats.

It may be recalled that the third meeting of INDIA BLOCK was held in Mumbai and was quite successful. This will be the fourth attempt in New Delhi on 19 th December solely with an credible exercise of 27 opposition national and regional parties in order to give a strong and cohesive fight to BJP led opposition in 2034 general elections.
