Heartwrenching tragedy . Toddler Killed After Truck Slips Backwards on Badrinath Highway, Traffic Jams for Hours

A 1.5-year-old girl died in a tragic road accident on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway near Mulyagaon on Sunday, after being run over by a truck that began sliding backwards on an incline. The incident led to a long traffic jam on the busy pilgrim route.
According to information received, a truck carrying wheat from Panipat towards Srinagar was climbing the gradient near Mulyagaon when it suddenly started slipping backwards.
At the same time, a couple arrived there on a motorcycle with their 1.5-year-old daughter, Noni. Unable to react in time after seeing the truck rolling towards them, they lost control of the bike and came under the vehicle. In the accident, the toddler, Noni, came under the truck’s front tyre and died on the spot.
Police have taken the truck and the driver into custody and begun an investigation into the accident.
