Communist Party of India’s Mongolpuri unit hold protest against excessive price rise of essential commodities

After the West Asia crisis and even earlier to this development the inflation of essential commodities , rather prices of all items in the market have touched skies negatively impacting the middle and lower muddlecclass of the country. The increase in the price of initially  domestic gas cylinders to Rs fifty per cylinder followed by Rs 100 increase in the commercial cylinder rates and thereafter increase in the petrol and deisal prices almost reaching Rs 90 and hundred percent litre has impacted the entire food industry like Dhabas, restaurants , grocery items and everything with manifold increase in prices this breaking the already overburdened back of the countrymen.

The people below poverty line , those at the lowest ebb, the lower middle class and even middle class are today suffering badly. On the contrary the unemployment innthe country is massive with 55 government jobs retrenched and those in private jobs are being asked to resign after the entry of artificial intelligence. As a sequel to these hardships and the plight of excessive inflation on the lower middle class especially those living in jhuggis jhopri clusters and resettlemt colonies like construction workers, daily wage earners and working class , the Communist Party of India’s Mangolpuri branch has organised a simple protest demonstration against excessive inflation under the scorching heat of 45% temperature.

A march was organised by the Communist Party of India (West Delhi District Council) in Mangolpuri against the increase in CNG prices and the increase of Rs 2 in the price of Amul-Mother Dairy milk and a demand was made to the Delhi Government and the Central Government to withdraw this increase.

Comrade Rajesh Kashyap, Joint Secretary of West Delhi District Council of Communist Party of India, Comrade Mukesh Kashyap, Deputy General Secretary of AITUC, Delhi State Committee, Comrade Ram Murthy, District Executive Member, Comrade Dashrath Paswan, Sarita, Rekha, Jyoti, Rama, Dulari, Soni, Kavita, Anjani etc. were present in the march.

The protestors were holding playcards and were raising slogans against anti people price rise which has made impossible for the poor people to survive.
