BJP chief J P Nadda visits Chamoli and Udham Singh Nagar to inaugurate the Shaheed Samman Yatra and BJP high level core comittee meeting
The Bhartiya Janata Party’s core group meeting was held in Udham Singh Nagar today. This is an exercise to revitalise the saffron party organization in Uttarakhand especially in view of the fast approaching elections.
The chief minister of Uttarakhand is extremely mobile and active and so is Ajay Tamta in Almora region and other districts in his capacity as the Convenor.
But Congress leader Harish Rawat’s extensive mobility, his rallies drawing massive crowds and the Congress organisation on a head on collision course with BJP, questioning it, on various fronts like skyrocketing inflation, unemployment, corruption, women insecurity, deteriorating health sector and farmers issues etc dominating the scene, putting the saffron party on defensive mode, the national party leadership of BJP has concentrated its major attention on this Himalayan state, claiming to win 60 seats out of seventy.
The PM’s recent visit to Kedarnath, union home minister Amit Shah’s Dehradun visit and today J.P.Nadda’s Uttarakhand visit truly speaks of BJPs total concentration in this Himalayan state.

Yesterday the chief minister inaugurated the Jauljeebi Mela avom Vikas pradarshini at Pithoragarh in which the former union minister and Almora MP also participated.
Almora MP Ajay Tamta tweeted : Participated with the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the inauguration ceremony of Jauljeebi Fair and development exhibition at Jauljeebi, Pithoragarh. However, despite all this, hundreds of medical students of Uttarakhand who’ve aspired for being future doctors and their anxious family members were keeping high hopes after the BJP national President J. P. Nadda’s visit regarding opening of the long awaited Almora Medical college for MBBS admissions this year. They have been demanding opening of AMC and starting the MBBS courses from this year but all in vain. They have written to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami n tweeted number of times tagging every central minister and the CM requesting him for doing the needful to save the career of these MBBS aspirants.
