All the MPs and MLAs of Uttarakhand should immediately come to the rescue of Joshimath populace !

Joshimath holy town of Garhwal, Uttarakhand and gateway to historic Badrinath temple and Hemkunt Sahib Gurudwara including skiing circuit Auli n magnificent valley of flowers is in real mess. The people are badly suffering, being evacuated in this minus degree temperature with women, men, children, youths and senior citizens in immense doldrums. They are under critical circumstances compelled have to leave their houses in distress, where they have been living from time immemorial, having constructed their permanent shelters collecting every pie and lifting sand b cement on their heads n shoulders. Their children’s education career and the lives are in acute distress. The senior citizens especially women are requiring medical care with several women being pregnant on the very of delivery with no medical support. The amount of psychological apprehension leaving their well built houses and everything, unwillingly, is tremendous. The government is doing its best to cope up with the terrible situation with sinking of holy town enhancing and cracks widening each day especially after rains and snow fall on a massive scale with three feet snow forming layers, with its water seeping inside the cracks making the situation even more worse and cumbersome. The NDMA n SDMA officials are undoubtedly proactive on relief operations evacuating the displaced families to safer locations but situation still seems in lackadaisical shape. As on date about 900 house have developed wide cracks not prone for living and four big hotels being destroyed by the disaster management authorities with sixty percent of Joshimath literally in acute distress. The geological scientists, the district magistrate, SDMs, police authorities, health officials and doctors are on their respective duties trying hard to provide maximum relief to the displaced families but the sufferers are in real mess, repeatedly complaining about not recieving any aid or governmental support. The government of the state claims having sent good number of heaters, boilers, bedsheets, pillows n food material to the displaced people who are sleeping at shelters but go to their houses with cracks every mourning to have a look which they have to leave at all costs, unwillingly but mandatorily. They are in real trauma n tears. Above all this the lawmakers of Uttarakhand or MPs have neither visited this traumatic town nor given any lip service. Shameful indeed. The government should take the Joshimath Bachao Sangharsh Samitee into confidence and the politicians across ideological boundaries should give up playing politics and deriving political advantage out of this pitiable situation. Now is the time that all the MLAs and MPs should give half of the share of their MP and MLA lad fund to Joshimath Holy town, it’s people in distress and stand in solidarity with them by all means. The central government and the state government should immediately make a constitutional provision to grant them constitutional permission to allocate fifty percent of their MP or MLA lad fund for the welfare and wellbeing of the Joshimath’s real sufferers. We all appeal to the honourable PM, leader of the opposition in Parliament to immediately convene a special session of parliament to allow MPs n MLAs to give fund from the MP n MLA lad fund for Joshimath sufferers’ welfare n wellbeing forthwith. This is the urgent need of the hour.
