Fifty year old man from Noida tries to self immolate outside supreme Court new building precincts, saying – his family is starving
A fifty year old man from Noida today tried to self immolate himself outside the Supreme Court building.
The man is distress was heard saying that his family is in utterly miserable condition and dying of starvation.
This incident took place today afternoon.
The two policemen on duty reportedly came to the rescue of the victim and doused the fire ferrying him to the hospital for immediate treatment.
The timely intervention of the police personel not only saved the life of the man by dousing the fire but also taking him to Ram Manohar hospital in time.
According to doctors he is now in stable condition as his hairs and clothes had caught fire but extinguished in time.
A passersby made the video of the incident in which the man while trying to self immolate was heard saying that his family is in utterly poor condition dying of starvation. I am from a very poor family. The policeman had to tore the clothes of the man as the fire could have immolate him badly had they not torn the clothes which had caught the fire.
The policemen had confirmed that the man known as Rajbhar Gupta in distress had come to the Supreme Court premises to vent his family’s woes.
However, the detail reason behind this self immolation attempt would be known after they talk to him after his adequate treatment n his returning to normal state.
Kindly recall that during the last six months this is the second incident of self immolation as a man and women had immolated themselves outside the supreme Court precincts and were taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where they succumbed to grievous burn injuries. The crime branch officials had reached the spot to collect the evidence of the case etc.
