On hearing speculations about 6 BJP MLAs joining Congress, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami called to Delhi by party high command

The Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been suddenly summoned by the central High command of Bhartiya Janata Party.

He rushed to the national capital today.

Though he is going to meet several union ministers and central leaders in connection with various projects but the fact of the matter is that it is just a cover up n the reason of summoning the chief minister is the recent news about speculations of six disenchanted BJP MLAs allegedly joining the Congress party as announced by one of its senior leaders and former speaker Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Sabha Govind Singh Kunjwal, who is also a veteran lawmaker from Jageshwar.

On Sunday he had created furore in BJP corridors in Dehradun as well as in Delhi when this news about six BJP MLAs likely to join Congress was very assertively and confidently disclosed in front of the media in a press conference by Govind Singh Kunjwal, a Harish Rawat protege and a veteran leader of Congress in Uttarakhand.

Even former Uttarakhand CM Rawat wrote a detailed note and pasted it in his twitter handle giving lot of ” UPDESH” and criticising certain senior Congress rebels who had joined the BJP in 2016 destabilising his government and wanting to become CM there but finally given a huge jolt by sidelining them, making three CMs of RSS n BJP background, doubting their credibility n loyalty.

Rawat has not only criticized them accusing as culprit of democracy and Uttarakhand but had also said that now after being sidelined in BJP they are trying to join Congress searching their old Congress DNA.

He even mentioned the name of “Maharaj”, in his above post.

These disclosures by Govind Singh Kunjwal and then Harish Rawat confirming the news through their social media posts and press conference, has in fact disturbed the BJP high command compelling them to summon the Uttarakhand CM to Delhi in order to get the complete feed back in this regard as well as instructing him to keep these MLAs with dwindling loyalties in good humour ensuring that not a single lawmaker joins Congress party as this may result in BJP not only losing its political credibility in the state but will also adversely impact its political fortunes especially in view of the elections taking place just four months after. The tenure of the Uttarakhand government is coming to end on 23 rd March.

It may be recalled that Uttarakhand cabinet minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat and lawmaker Umesh Kumar Kau, about whom there were speculations that they may join Congress annoyed with the present state leadership, had recently been called by the central party high command and appeased by way of given them certain assurances of elevation in the near future.

It is believed that they have lodged their certain complaints against the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to central party leaders for increasing annoyance amongst certain MLAs that may perhaps explode when they allegedly join Congress.

Earlier, three MLAs had joined BJP enhancing its morale but after its ( BJP) two MLAs, father son duo, father being cabinet minister namely Yashpal Arya n MLA Sanjeev Arya joined Congress resigning from their assembly membership, the BJP has suffered a huge jolt. With the latest news pouring in, though just rumours about 6 BJP MLAs likely to join Congress, the central BJP leadership is in no mood to take any risk.
