Former cabinet minister and three term MLA Hira Singh Bisht passed away at the age of 81

Senior-most leader of Uttarakhand Congress, former Cabinet Minister and trade union leader Shri Hira Singh Bisht passed away late last night due to a heart attack at the age of 81.
He had been unwell for a long time. A committed Congressman always he served as cabinet minister under the rule of Narayan Dutt Tiwari and founded the cricket Association of Uttarakhand.
Hira Singh Bisht represented the Doiwala Assembly constituency three times and served as a Cabinet Minister for important portfolios including Transport, Labour and Technical Education in both undivided Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
He was MLA in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand since 1985 to 2014 for three terms in Delhi current intervals.
As the State President of INTUC, he was a strong and powerful voice for the rights of workers, employees and the poor.
His demise is an irreparable loss to the politics and social life of Uttarakhand.
May God grant the departed noble soul a place at His feet, and give strength to the bereaved family and supporters to bear this unbearable sorrow.
