A forest fire in Bunga village, in the Adibadri tehsil area, proved fatal for a woman. 51-year-old Sureshi Devi, who was on her way to the cowshed, was caught in the fire and suffered severe burns. She died on the way to the hospital. The entire area is mourning the incident. According to reports, Sureshi Devi, a resident of Bunga village, was on her way to her cowshed at around 7 pm on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a fire in the nearby forest spread due to a strong storm and reached the cowshed. She was severely burned by the fire. Family members and villagers were taking her to the hospital for treatment, but she died on the way. Outpost in-charge Adibadri Anil Aagri said that a forest fire in Bunga village had spread, and due to strong winds, it reached the cowshed area. Sureshi Devi was severely burned by the fire and died.
Police arrived at the scene and are gathering information about the incident. The body is being sent for post-mortem examination.
